Cheers for that Skel.
Few thoughts on that episode.
Mick Hennessy looks hopelessly out of his depth with the other promoters. Does he ever actually say anything or just look at the rest of them trying to fit in? You can't imagine Frank Warren or even Barry Hearn making mugs of themselves like that.
Abraham seems like the most likeable guy. He's like a kind of Boxing Borat. Definitely the guy I want to win.
Allan Green seems a good addition if only for the fact that he does the whole arrogant prick thing with some charisma unlike Froch who sounds like a wet fish when he's expounding his own greatness.
Gary Shaw is surely the real-life basis for Tony Soprano. He's fucking hilarious. Anyone says anything he disagrees with and he's off. Him and Goosen should have their own show. It would be like The Odd Couple III.
Glad to see Taylor is ok, I do hope he doesn't come back. If anything Ward might have been a better opponent for him, as he's not a huge puncher, but now he's out of the game I hope he stays out. He's a nice guy, he's still got his marbles and he's got the personality where he could maybe work as part of the Showtime broadcast team at the later stages of the tournament.
I would give Dirrell's wife one. I've thought about this through the series so far & she definitely tops Froch's bint for me (looks like every page 3 girl ever - slightly gnomish), hell Taylor's wife runs her close for me.
I still think this tournament is the best thing in boxing right now, I can't wait till the next round begins & hopefully the run-off from the Mayweather-Mosley hype gets more people watching it.
I see the Dirrell/Abraham fight is going to be at the Joe Louis Arena in Detroit, does anyone know who is on the under card. ??
All right, this is the main board, can we keep it at least slightly clean? Lets just move on, no harm done but I'll have to move it or something if it just gets worse.

I have to admit these Showtime boxing reality shows in my opinion are better than HBO's 24/7.
24/7 just feels too scripted and contrived for me.
I was watching the second and third ones on Showtime on Demand last night and thought the same exact things...This show is more or less kind of a behind the scenes look and 24/7 is more or less a way to help hype the fight....
Kind of like how the Contender makes the fights look more interesting by using highlights and slow motion but to a lesser extent
