If Ricky Hatton was watching that i think he should retire i think with the young fighters in the division now they would be to much for Hatton at this stage in his career.
They were good KD's. Alexander/Bradley would be a very nice fight, but I think Bradley has too much for him. I see Alexander is another one of these god thanking puppets too, so I will have a hard time warming to him. I like to see people like that knocked out so they can thank god again for giving them the power to lose.

As for Hatton, it's anyones guess where that man is right now. Has anyone heard anything more on his comeback? It's all gone deathly quiet. I think maybe he was waiting on the result of this and you know what, I say bring on Alexander! Hatton wants the tough fights and this is a tough one, Hatton is being totally written off by everyone and it would be an ideal statement to make.
Hatton struggles with southpaws so i would stop away from Alexander

It was a great uppercut to drop Urango and then finish him.
A peach of a punch. It seemed to take him off his feet going forwards and then had him falling right on his back. I thought the stoppage was a bit weak though. Urango was obviously not feeling too clever, but he looked like he could have gone on and seemed in control of his senses. It was a premature stoppage.

Yeh he could of gone on, my money would of been on Alexander to stop him in that round or the 9th had it continued.

Yeah I didn't see a stoppage coming obviously, didn't think Alexander was that solid of a puncher. Those were two pretty brutal uppercuts. Urango going forward could have more and more problems. If his chin starts to crack he just doesn't have enough other stuff to fall back on.

Man, after the 5th round I was fully confident my prediction would come true, Urango had landed some devastating body shots and had just kicked into high gear where he was landing quite frequently. Big credit to Alexander for hanging onto the controls. That uppercut that he got on the first knockdown actually lifted Urango off the canvas Great win, great result another reason light welter is being stronger as a division everyday.
For every story told that divides us, I believe there are a thousand untold that unite us.

Wish I would have seen it.Sounds like Alexander steppen up to another level entirely with emphatic statement. The Jt welters are flourishing and I would love a Bradley/Alexander showdown. It has to happen.Hopefully promoters,King wont give us second tier defenses and instead provide quality.

Yeah just managed to see the last round on youtube when I got in late last night, really really great uppercut, as good as I've seen in a long while. The way he connected just as Urango was winding up his right hand was savage. Was it the ref who called an end to it though? Either way I don't really think it was a premature stoppage, maybe JUST barely, but from the vid I watched it looked as though after the second KD someone either climbed to the ropes or threw in the towel, the ref seemed to wave it off due to that, am I wrong?

Bradley vs. Alexander would be some fight. It looks like King wants to make Alexander Judah first though. I wonder what Khan is thinking looking at the 140 pound division now and I wonder what GBP are thinking too. They've got to pay him $1.25 million a fight minimum and pretty much the only fights they can make to pay him that kind of money are Alexander/Bradley level fights. Or a Hatton fight in Britain if Ricky does actually fight again. The 140 division is definitely one to watch right now.

I bet Khan would love to vacate 140 now, ha.... He'll be heading back down to lightweight before you know it.....

If you actually watch the fight back theres massive crowd disruption during the 1st few rounds

Apparently some big guy had a massive heart attack, anyone got any information on his condition??

It was just one of them punches. I think Urango's chin will be as solid as it ever was. I think most fighters have that in their locker....it just takes an exceptional set of circusmtances for it to happen.

It just so happens that Urango wound one up with his chin in the air just as Alexander was throwing a Street Fighter style uppercut. Cracking punch, but i don't think it necessarily means Alexander has moved on a level or two.

It's a cracking win though and it's a cracking win for the division really. It's got to be good for Boxing when you have a lot of talent emerging in the same division...especially when most of the guys are young.

Berto and hatton both couldnt do what devon did do. That in my eyes makes him a talent and a half. Sure we can all say it was a close fight going into the 8th but your still knocking out a guy with a heck of a good chin who can also bang

    Init

Unfortunately, Urango didn't quite 'dwindle' like Billy Graham thought he would... Even with all that energy sapping MMA style grappling.
