Miles, I know what you mean about the exercise it is boring, I tend to do 10 second sprints on the bike for 35 minutes which is tiring and run on the cross trainer for 12KM in 37 minutes. The football is the proper work out and far more enjoyable, except the injuries.

I work out 5-6 days a week. I have two basic routines. One day I will do over and hour of cardio broken into two sections (two of running, the rowing machine, or the elliptical) and then the next day I will do over an hour of weights (on a series of weight machines, I'm just about to learn the proper free weight technique though) followed by half an hour on the elliptical. I also periodically attend workout classes at the gym.
Im up every morning Punching the Bag about. Then she gets up and makes Tea![]()

I cycle 30-40 minutes flat out 3 days a week (to work, stopping my road work mind... used to do a lot of sprint training). Sparring/boxing conditioning I try to do 2-3 times, twice a week I'll do some strength and power training, lots of olympic lifts, compound and explosive movements and spread through out all of that I do a lot of rehab work on the smaller muscles of my torn shoulder - looking to get back to competiting by the end of the summer.
On rest days I do a lot of foam rolling and stretching, I need to start swimming more because it's the one movement my body is poor at.
