This would make me a Khan fan for the first time he is making a good decision. The repeat would get more viewers than the whole of his fights on PPV and that will mean he will get more commercial deals because more of the general people will know him. More fighters should do this as it makes business sense.
Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.
Good news but this fight will still be a wipeout IMO, Paulie Malignaggi has gotten seriously overrated because of one win. Over a Juan Diaz who has seen better days and is really a Lightweight.
Paulie Malignaggi has really had some awful performances, and i think people are forgetting this. And i don't really see how Paulie Malignaggi can really make it competitive, other than being elusive/defensive taking Amir Khan the full 12 rounds. Whilst pretty much losing every single round.
Amir Khan has all the advantages, he's stronger. He's quicker, he's bigger, ETC. And his biggest flaw which is his chin will never be in any danger, with the feather fisted Paulie Malignaggi.
Im not saying its a bad fight, it is a step up for Amir Khan. And it will indeed be a decent win for him.
But i can really see this being quite one sided IMO.
Read this in the paper this mornign as well.
Will beleve it when I see it.
It will be a big boost for british boxing if it is true.
Balls
If true it shows what a nobody Froch is. ITV completely pulled out of boxing with Hennessy.
If I remember right, Naz-Kelly went off around 1am UK time from MSG (8pm New York). Considering Khan-Powderpuff ain't a BIG fight in the states it wouldn't be out of the question to bring it forward.
3-Time SADDO PREDICTION COMP CHAMPION.
This is great news if true. I also think it will do well because Khan used to get millions watching him fight tomato cans, so fighting an opponent who can actually be marketed I think it does well.
I reckon the 1am start will include a slightly longer undercard. Plus ITV will hype the shit out of it. The fact is a 1am/2am fight start isn't terrible on a Saturday night. It's the ones that start at 4am/5am people can't be bothered with.
I'm actually glad because if I go to Mitchell-Katsidis it means I'm not spending £15 on a PPV that I'm already paying for part of. As long as they keep the Ortiz-Campbell co-feature, I'd be pissed if that wasn't on there.
The 1 am thing is just ITV trying to con people into staying up to watch. Not the first time they've done it. There must be a disagreement between GBP, Warren and Sky over how to divvy the PPV money up. If Khan gets on ITV and Mitchell gets his first big fight on Sky I wonder what Froch will be thinking.![]()
Amir Khan's US boxing debut against Paulie Malignaggi set for ITV screening - mirror.co.uk
this is just something i picked up browsing, but its not 100% genuine i think. I thought the khan v malignaggi fight would be pay per view but not too sure as yet. Would be great tho yes to have it on normal tv!
Bonus!!
I'm always suspect of noobs who are word shy![]()

Just seriously doubting the whole thing and still fully expecting to hear sky have obtained the rights
They can PPV a night of 2 world title fights for british fighters. If khan goes to ITV it not only means ITV pay way over the odds for something that`ll be shown while most people are a bed. It`ll also completely f*ck up the mitchell-katsidis fight which no way has enough strength to make it to ppv alone.
Khan-malignaggi - from new york
katsidis-mitchell - from london
it`ll be sky box office guaranteed
one dangerous horrible bloke
