I have to go with Bazooka. He had sneaky punches he would slip right in out of his shell. Against a great fighter Clottey just seems to lose it when the going gets tough and with Quartey the going would get real tough. Quartey has the heart of an African. Clottey is just African. Of course you can tell I am not big on counting on Clottey.

Ike Quartey would clearly beat Joshua Clottey, i could see Ike Quartey maybe getting knocked down but it would be a flash knockdown. Overall Ike Quartey would hit too hard, and his pulverizing jab would make Joshua Clottey go into a defensive mode.

I really like Ike Quartey, i seem to really appreciate fighters with great jabs. Like Larry Holmes i don't know what it is, but watching a fighter break down someone with a great snapping left jab. Is truly great to watch for me.

He was also exciting as heck his fights against ODLH, Fernando Vargas, Jose Luis Lopez, Crisanto Espana, were cracking fights. He also had some great boxing displays vs Vince Phillips, Jung-Ho Park, Oba Carr.

I also believe he has been very unlucky in all his losses, he should of had the win vs ODLH. Despite ODLH's late flurry it wasn't enough and Ike Quartey should of won the fight. He was too small vs Fernando Vargas, Winky Wright. And he was robbed against R.I.P Vernon Forrest.

But im sorry i think Joshua Clottey is a good fighter, but he's not up there with true Ghana Warriors like Azumah Nelson, Ike Quartey.

Ike everyday of the week.Clottey does not have the offense and more immportantly the mentality to keep Quartey honest and keep him off.

Ike as Clottey would blow his opportunity again. Ike was in a different league.

The more I think of it and put it into the thought of a WW fight...I have to say it would not even be close for more then a round or two...

Like ICB and AL said the jab of Ike would alone put Clottey in his place....And I am a fan of Clottey but at WW Ike was in a whole different league..

    Yeah Ike would brutalize Clottey

I completely agree with Ice, but I'd go as far to say that Clottey isn't up there with Nana Konadu or David Kotey who were other excellent Ghanaian fighters. Quartey would jab him to a wide UD, probably 118-110 something like that. Clottey would blame a car that cut him up at some traffic lights 5 days previously for distracting his focus.

My prediction is Ike's bazooka jab will be too much for clottey and when clottey feel its power he will be forced to hide in his shell again.

Not even close, Quartey wins all day. I feel he would also beat Cotto, Margarito and probably even Pacquiao at his best, at welter. That may not be a concensus, but I don't think there's any question that Ike fought in a better era for the weight class. Cotto Pacquiao Margo and even Mayweather(though he's the only one I'd really give a chance to dominate) really don't measure up to what the division had in the mid 90s to early 2000s... Prime Oscar, Mosley, Trinidad, Quartey and Vargas were a notch above for me.

    Vargas never fought at welterweight
