Disappointed in JMM ? isn't that slightly going over the top ? in his last 10 fights he has fought.

    Victor Polo
    Chris John
    Terdsak Jandaeng
    Jimrex Jaca
    MAB
    Rocky Juarez
    Manny Pacquiao
    Joel Casamayor
    Juan Diaz
    Floyd Mayweather Jr

And you would be disappointed in JMM because he's fighting, against a fighter that pushed him to the limit ? in a fight that won the FOTY ? wow you certainly are hard to please.

I mean who else is there at Lightweight ? all the top fighters are fighting eachother, theres no one available. And plus Juan Diaz fought Paulie Malignaggi at Jr Welterweight not at Lightweight where he does his best work.

I think this is a good match up, and it should another thrilling encounter. And to the people who think this will be an easy fight, think again this will be another battle.
Yeah i am. I don't care who he's fought in his past 10 fights. He's the undisputed champ at 135, he's supposed to fight the best guys.

He's rematching a guy he knocked the fuck out and who is coming off a loss ( Should be 2 losses). Marquez ruined Diaz, what does he prove by knocking him out again? (which he will and earlier)

There are no lightweight fighters available now because he took so long deciding what he was gonna do. Katsidis was available not that long ago, he just got tired of waiting. Valero is another top 10 lightweight who could pose Marquez some problems with his agression and power, why not fight him ?

I'm a fan of Marquez but i'm not gonna side with him on this one.
How the hell can he fight Edwin Valero ? that fight could only happen outside the USA. And with all the trouble Edwin Valero is having at the moment, i doubt he'll even get a visa.

Its funny you mention Michael Katsidis, when he's the same fighter. Who got dominated by Juan Diaz pretty much, i mean what has Michael Katsidis really done since that loss ? and is he any real better than Juan Diaz ? really ?

Its easy to say he should be doing this and that, no fighter who ever lived. Can constantly keep fighting top fighters. Of course you wouldn't care who he's fought in his last 10 fights, you haven't gone through all those tough battles.

I mean honestly can the guy get a break ? he's fought two P4P number 1 fighters, only 1 year + apart. And Juan Diaz is hardly that bad of a fight, i think the reason he didn't look that good against Paulie Malignaggi, is because it was above Lightweight.

I think people are selling Juan Diaz short here, i think he'll give JMM hell again. The last fight was the FOTY and people wouldn't actually, be excited to see the rematch ? there has certainly been worse rematches than this one.

And as for your final question what does it prove ? well i think it will prove. Juan Diaz isn't as shot as people think, i think it will show once again why JMM is a great fighter, and i think it will prove to be a cracking fight.

Katsidis has been impressive since his Diaz loss and has actually been winning fights where Diaz is 1-1 ( It should be 0-2). Let's not forget that Paulie clearly won the first fight and dominated the second fight against Diaz. Before Diaz, Paulie's best win was Lovemore N'dou.

Katsidis is the top contender for Marquez's title i think, he earned that shot.

I'm not expecting Marquez to fight top guys ALL the time, but i just don't agree with him rematching a guy he knocked out badly and who hasn't looked the same since.

There first fight was an excellent fight, both guys displayed there all, and it meant something being the undisputed title was on the line.

A rematch takes something away from that imo, it just seems pointless to me.

All Katsidis has done is beat a shot Jesus Chavez (who hasn't had a meaningful win since 05) and get a SD win over fringe contender Vicente Escobedo. A fight in which his jaw was damn near broken. Not exactly what I call impressive stuff. A 2nd fight with Diaz still means more and is worth more than a fight with Katsidis

Escobedo fight should of been a UD. Katsidis put on a good performance and became the no1 contender with the win while Diaz just got dominated by Paulie and was even hurt by him lol.

Diaz is ruined, Katsidis is not. Katsidis fight is more meaningful.

I think there both ruined. Katsidis ain't been the same since Casamayor knocked his ass out. Only difference between him and Diaz is Katsidis has been facing hand picked opponents. After getting out boxed by Diaz (of all people) he's faced journeyman Angel Ramirez. Completely shot Jesus Chavez. And fringe contender Vicente Escobedo. How exactly has Katsidis earned a shot at the great Marquez? If Diaz out boxed him, what hope does he have to even be competitive against Marquez?

Katsidis is back on form imo.

Against Diaz, he tried to box instead of brawl which i think was to do with getting ko'd in his previous fight.

Since then though, he has gone back to applying non stop pressure for 12 rounds.

Marquez probably destroys Katsidis, but Katsidis applys constant pressure for 12 rounds unlike Diaz who dissappears once he gets cut plus he has more power than Diaz who was able to wobble Marquez.

It would be a good fight nonetheless and Marquez would get more credit for it than knocking out a guy he has already beat up.
