did Pacquiao fight Foreman or Mayweather instead of Clottey, nope
but it was Arum who set up the Clottey fight as an alternative to the Mayweather fight...not Roach..

bullshit, Arum wanted Foreman, Roach said no so they went with Clottey, Arum also had mentioned Malignaggi as a possible opponent

Morales will always be a great fighter. He truly defeated Pacquiao in the first fight. I knew the curtain was closing by the second fight, but the third fight was a doozey... I watch that fight, it's so inspiring as a Morales fan. To go out on his shield like that and really contend with Pacquiao, the man to knock him out just months before.... that's just amazing. If you can pick up on that symbolism, then I can talk boxing with you all day.

I was against the Diaz fight, I wanted Morales to retire... but I saw the fight anyways... I was cheering so loud, I must have woke the neighbors... no other current fighter can get me as cheery as watching a Morales fight. Now I say, he can do what he wants: Retire or Fight. Hey... Ali did what he wanted, he's in a horrible state now, but that's the way life is... it's not all rainbows and butterflies.

Go Morales, your an inspiration to us all.

Will try to download the fight somewhere and give it an attentive eye, thanks for the summary, I've always been a huge Morrales fight, to hear such things worry me to the deepest point when we consider he'll have to fight bigger names now in order to get his 4th title and that's where it can get ugly the way you describe it.

Morales was a great fighter and a survivor of many ring wars. He had a long absence and ring rust. Let him fight a few opponents that will in succession make him rise to his best whatever that may turn out to be and then it will be up to him, win lose or leave. He has nothing to be ashamed of and although I was not his biggest fan, he always made me worry when he fought my favorites. You know what, he is still a scary fighter, just a little rusty.

Watched about 4 rounds of this last night. He didn't look great, but then again i didn't expect him to. Definitely not the fighter he was before, he looked out of shape. It's up on youtube if you don't mind watching it in sections.
