I have never been a big Jones fan but I hope he can pull off the upset here coz Hopkins is an arrogant obnoxious big mouth with a chip on his shoulder.

Can anybody see Jones winning this?
funny that sort of thing would bother you seeing how big of a Haye fan you are
Difference is, Haye is a funny guy. Hopkins aint.

Can't they settle this over a round of golf? There's plenty of young talent out there waiting to get their shot.

Since when? Haye is an idiot. How good of a fighter he is at HW remains to be seen.

but time has passed..an unnecessary fight between this two is going to happen..if it happened 5-7 years ago, it would have been one of the richest and historic bouts in history

I will keep my fingers crossed for Roy. However my brain tells me: Hopkins will probably win.

I don't think Roy can win the fight at this point. But I can tell you what, this fight is gonna fucking SUCK. B-Hop simply can not sustain a high punch output anymore and has to hug & grapple after each punch to sustain his energy level. If RJJ was cautious with Trinidad, you can bet that he'll be even more cautious against B-Hop. And the one thing RJJ will never allow, is to get knocked out by B-Hop, I don't think RJJ would EVER want to give B-Hop the satisfaction. So expect 12 rounds of RJJ and B-Hop taunting each other, grappling, and doing nothing much more than jabbing with an occasional power punch. This is simply a cash grab and I will not be buying the fight.

I agree with you...Jones used to be my favorite fighter. And the sad part is, even if he gets destroyed, he will fight again.

I was actually picking Roy to win this after the Lacy fight. I thought his speed and movement would be enough to take a close decision but after the Green fight it would be stupid to bet against Hopkins. Apparently Jones has worked on power to try and get a KO. I dont think he has the confidence in his own cardio so he is banking on taking Hop out. Bad idea IMO. His best chance was to be the quicker guy and let his shots go in combos. Still look forward to this fight and wish it was on PPV over here.

Point taken, but I do not find Haye funny at all. I understand why he acts the way he does, but it just comes off as arrogant and childish IMO.

A lot of people don't want this fight (for health reasons).
But we all will be paying close attention to the conclusion.

    Hope Roy stays healthy.

It should effectively happened a couple of years ago, I agree, same with time that passed by. However, it is not rare that a boxer for a very last time can reverse the clock to make "the" one performance. IF Jones is motivated enough, that could happen. The thing is that he might have that chance against Hopkins because he's not a pressure guy and will likely start slow... based on that, he could make a magic trick somewhere down the line.

Well and Jones has lost. He had no idea for a win. But at least he was not declassed by Hopking - however B-Hop had been announcing that...
