Surely you or someone else will bring up money being the issue....was it an issue? Yes but nothing that a renegotiation couldn't fix, certainly The Klitschko's would oblige him in seeing that he got paid for his work, they aren't heartless.
He couldn't re-negotiate with Setanta to not go bankrput.

...I wasn't talking about renegotiating with them (I was thinking renegotiate with the Klitschko's) BUT that company being bankrupt they could have opted to sell off certain sports event to another network could they not?

But you saw the dude for what he was a chickenshit only interested in money and not interested in being the best. Which is why there were lies and slander used to cover up him running away instead of just coming out and saying "The network is broke and can't pay me"

I am eager to see what the nay sayers will have to say about Haye being chicken when he does take the fight with a Klitschko. This "chicken" argument has an expiration date, so perhaps people may want to consider what their next "Haye Hating Talking Points" will be. Ideas?

And although the chances are slim, if Haye ends up winning such a fight, it is going to be hilarious on this forum.

The way the guy went about ducking Wlad and Vitali while simultaneously touting how great he was and how he was going to cut their heads off is the absolute WEAKEST dick tuck moment in the HISTORY of boxing!

Name me a fighter that ducked someone worse than this guy? Riddick Bowe dropping the WBC belt in the trash can for Lennox Lewis? That's the only one that comes to my mind...I mean what this WBA title holder has done makes him a yellow bellied dirty rat of a fucking coward.

1 fight was nixed due to Setenta going broke, what happened with the other fight The one where he decided to fight Valuev instead of Vitali?

How can you defend this guy?

um... is it still ducking if he fights them later?
I believe its only ducking if he never fights them.

The reality is, whether it was luck or not, it makes more business sense for Haye to take the WBA route, it gives him time to build up experience in the division and generate interest in the decision. The Klits are getting older and the chances are getting better for a Haye victory. I still think Haye should take a couple more fights and maybe fight the Klits next year, for his sake as I truthfully cannot see him beating either of them.

David Haye has no say in what Setanta do. None whatsoever. They tried to keep affloat but they owed too much money to the Premier League for football rights.

Considering that would have been Haye's ONLY source of income it's a bit strange for you to label him a 'chicken shit'.

Why the fuck would he fight for free?

...then how did the Valuev fight come off The Setenta saga was well over by then and Vitali wanted to take on this chump and he chose Valuev instead....after talking all that shit and Vitali gives him a chance to man up and make it right and what did he do? He took the easy road.

I for one figured the guy needed to get a title and some experience before he fought the Klitschko's but you can't run off at the mouth like that and then tuck tail when you get a shot. That's what pissed me off so bad, he talked shit knowing full well he wasn't going to take the fight.

Well basically the only options he could get from either Klitschko was a fight, in Germany, where Haye only takes home the UK TV money (Setanta), and where there was an immediate re-match clause + a fight against the other Klit.

That's why he went after the Heavyweight title. Especially when Setanta went bust. Not sure how that equates to him taking the easy road. He wants to fight a Klit but he also wants decent terms and decent money for it. The Klits seem to want everything on there terms because Haye apparently has no bargaining power. Now he has a title, and he has massive popularity (in the UK), he brings much more to the table.

So just because the WBA title holder is "extremely popular in England" the Klitschko's should get the shit end of the stick? Last time I checked Wlad was THE MAN in the division ergo he is entitled to his fair share and if anyone wants to take his place they can earn good money fighting Wlad and better money if they beat him. Why is that not clicking with you guys? When in the history of boxing has the challenger made more than the champion? But I guess the guy is obviously not ducking Wlad...fucking SHAMELESS fanboyism from you Brits, you have 0 idea about business!
