He's a tough guy. He's good enough to hold his own in top class but doesn't have the ability to win against the very best - hence the hundred and one losses.

He deserves respect for being a great opponent, he is not a great fighter though.
This of course has NOTHING to do with Calzaghe ducking him. Also was the Jones he fought really worse than the one JC, Green, B-Hop II fought. I really doubt that. Johnson has been fucked over a fair few times, but fair play he hasn't been able to dominate that many fighters. Maybe because he consistently tried to get in with the best out there.
Correct. Calzaghe ducking Johnson was the greatest thing that ever happened to him. Without that duck he wouldn't have landed the Roy fight.
Jones was already finished by time he fought JC, Green and KO'd Hopkins. That wasn't completely certain before the Johnson fight. Roy was shocking. He came back too soon after the KO loss.
And lots of journeymen consistently fight the best
