I don't know if it's the commentary, but the Brits have it an exciting fight & I've got to say I felt that way watching it. Berto was poor the first 6 rounds, he seemed way too tense, but 7 & 8 he stepped it up, relaxed & did what he needed to.

great finish by berto.. but he really needs to improve if he wants to beat a guy like mosley..

Berto has all the talent, but he just doesn't seem to have it together mentally. If he'd just work on his deficiencies, he could become a great fighter, but the same problems seems to dog him in every fight.

I think he was rusty, he has been out almost a year, and once he relaxed in the 7th round he took over. I still believe he's got some serious promise. How he finished Quintana was excellent, he was much more measured, but precise with what he did. If he'd started like that, he would have done the job. I think he was also way too hot-headed & determined to blow Quintana away at the start because of the Haiti thing.

I think those things can be worked on. The coverage over here were really questioning whether his head was in the right place following what he saw in Haiti. He wouldn't be able to live with Floyd, Shane or Manny right now, but he should keep busy maybe fighting Cotto, he's part of the next gen of 147lbers with Mike Jones & Saul Alvarez.

I think they can be worked on too, but my point is that they've been clear issues for a long time now and they still haven't been corrected. IMO that's a big red flag for Berto going forward. He should avoid Cotto at this point, unless it becomes clear in the Foreman fight that he's really on the slide. I'd like to see him rematch Collazo.

I honestly think he'd beat Cotto right now, I think Cotto isn't the same fighter pre-Margarito & subsequent fights with Clottey & Pacquiao have taken a lot out of him. But, then he's not part of the Bob Arum fraternity so he wouldn't get it. He should steer clear of the big 3 though. I think he will rematch Collazo if Collazo beats Aydin. Even an Aydin fight would be good, because Aydin can bang. If Shane loses to Mayweather, maybe a fight somewhere down the line wouldn't be a bad idea, although I reckon that PBF, Pac & possibly Shane will all be retired or about to by this time next year.
