Anyone have a netbook?

Ok two questions, one a repeat as you ignored poor Jim.

1) What THE FUCK is a netbook? Is a small laptop without a dvd-rom or something? Does it have an internal mechanical harddrive or is sd cards or solid storage?

2) Do they do anything better than the new Apple iPad? iPad's are not in the UK yet and I'm not sure how much they cost, but they look fooking amazing imo, very sexy little gadget and I will probably look into getting one in a year or so.

iPads are between $500 and $850 I think. I'm not sure what it does that my Droid or an iPhone can't do.

Probably nothing, it's just totally cool.

So if you want to browse the web, text message you have to:

A) lay it down flat on a table.

B) prop it up on your legs to type.

C) hold it with one hand and type with the other.

I understand the benefits of it, but I think it would be uncomfortable to use.
