one dangerous horrible bloke
HTH, are you willing to make a little sig bet that Froch loses against Kessler this week-end and therefore will erase that silly idea that he's the best at at 168?

At the moment he is one of the best, and if he beats kessler and abraham then he is 100% the greatest. Dirrell is a quality fighter and froch didn't get anywere near the credit he deserved for beating him. I hated him afew years back as a person and a boxer, but i think he's quality.
What a load of nonsense. Here's a list of super middles past and present that beat Froch 9 out of 10 times: Roy Jones Jr, Joe Calzaghe, James Toney, Andre Ward, Mikkel Kessler, Sakio Bika, Lucian Bute, Chris Eubank, Nigel Benn, Steve Collins, Arthur Abraham.
I still maintain that Dirrel was robbed against Froch. Jermain Taylor schooled him until the 12th, Pascal is just a brawler. 'Greatest' my eye.
I think Dirrell is a big baby and Froch is a piss poor boxer.
Bute should have lost the first Andrade fight. But now that he wiped the floor with him, I think it's a moot point.
To HTH: Nothing in boxing says the champ gets to take a complete ass whooping if he is ahead on the cards without the threat of the fight being stopped. Aside from that fact he was slumped in his corner after being flattened, he got a looong count, which was actually longer than the original "the long count" (Tunney -Dempsey II)

Have you actually seen the fight ? he didn't get a long count. Count how long it took him to get up, he clearly got up by 8. And by the time he got up, the time in the round was already over.
Yes what the ref done was wrong telling Librado Andrade to go to the neutral corner. But so what ? that made no difference in the fight, because the time in the round was already over.
All Lucian Bute had to do was get up in time, which he clearly did. He responded to the ref and won legitmately, so why should he have lost ? i keep hearing this but why exactly ? because he was badly hurt ?
So what ? he got up and showed heart and won, he only got in that position because he made a mistake, by trading in the last round. It would of been a bigger robbery had Librado Andrade been given the win. With no time left in the fight.
I guarantee you he could not take 2 steps forward by the count of 8. Bute was out of it halfway thru the 12th round on.. Even he feels bad about the way he won. What do you think "kept him up at night for a year" according to Bute himself before the rematch.
I'm not sure who was more out of it, 'Meldrick Taylor vs Chavez' or Bute
