Really?
Berto may be Pacquiao's best bet. Assuming Mosley and Floyd are out of the picture. Margarito doesn't deserve it by any means. I don't see another legit welterweight for Pacquiao other than Berto.
But, he could mean the belt held by the Zavek.
Is Saul Alvarez too green for Berto? How about the Polish guy who is on a big wining streak - Jackiewicz? Not a big name I know though. Paul Williams?
No, I think Berto is a league below Mosley, Mayweather and Pacquiao. Each of those guys can do things Berto can only dream about. I've never really seen the big deal about Berto and still don't. He fights with no consistency and tends to hug more than a grizzly bear with a new playmate. He has fast hands, but that's where it ends for me.
I would like to see him fight any of those 3 named above because that will see him on the start of a slippery slope and good riddance too. Otherwise a Collazo rematch might be in order.
No way is Berto sat at the top table yet.
Still got a bit to prove before he fights one of the big 3.
24 Beers in a slab, 24 hours in the day.......go figure.
Im a big fan of Andre Berto and i don't want to see him, fight the big boys yet. I think a rematch between Luis Collazo, is the fight everyone wants to see.
Andre Berto is still developing and at this stage in his career, he should not really care about super fights. Right now he's not ready to fight the big boys but he should concentrate on defending his title and make sure that he fights the best for the next three defenses and the we pull out the gauges and say now it's time but before he's ready I say no. It's the manly art of self defense not becoming a sheep going to be sheered of his wool without developing further as a fighter. Too many cooks spoil the broth.
