Well no one has come up with any real explination to dislike him.

He talks endless shit, was given MULTIPLE opportunities to back it up and failed to do so. He has now been called out by THE Heavyweight Champion of the World Wladimir Klitschko and this flimsy response from his trainer/manager is all we get.....well that and his trainer saying that "We're (trainer and his charge) not sure who the real champion is and maybe we need to find that out before we fight Wlad or Vitali"

As I mentioned in another thread, I met Steve Bunce last week and among other things he mentioned that Freddie Roach's team had called David Haye and effectively said something along the lines of 'well Adam, you've done a nice job with him, we'll take it from here'. Obviously Booth told them to fuck off. Anyway, Booth felt that this had been partly instigated by this journalist Davies, who has very close ties with Roach (he apparently basically acts as his UK mouthpiece). So he was pretty pissed off at both of them and it's apparently not a new thing with how he feels about Davies/Roach and them trying to take Haye away from him.

On the basis of that I'll let it go, but I like everyone else would be disgusted if Haye doesn't actually fight one of the brothers, especially with that shit he came out with about Mayweather/Pacquiao being a fight that needs to happen for the sake of the sport. Those in glass houses etc...

Mate haye IS a business not an employee, he doesn't clock in on his way to the ring and then keep 100% of his wage packet. He has expenses... Trainers, corner men, managers, promotions, nutritionists, gym space, equipment, transport, insurance amongst a crap load of other things and living expenses and thats just during camp. If he manages to get a couple of grand from hbo and his camp cost about the same then where does he stand.

Haye's cut on a heavily hyped card (easily billed as the biggest heavyweight fight for a long time) would have exceeded whatever Setanta was going to pay him. Plus he would get a cut of the gate. Is it speculation? Sure, but it's not like HBO is going to pay a few thousand dollars to a fighter they had already spent tens of thousands promoting.

HBO were paying the promotion a license feee, they weren't paying the boxers individually. And the way the fight contract worked was that Junior got almost everything other than the Setanta money for the fight and then about 10 000 options on Haye afterwards. Haye probably would have made enough from the non-Setanta revenue streams to cover his expenses but would have been basically fighting for free.

Never once did I say Kirk Johnson was a credible heavyweight force! I merely commented on his return to boxing and given the lack of depth and consistency of the heavyweight division (outside of The Klitschkos) I merely stated that an in shape Kirk Johnson would prove to be an interesting matchup for some contenders and journeymen, I never even said Johnson would win. Well before Khans last fight Roach, Haye and Khan were all having a nice chat and then Roach realised the cameras were on them and and ended the coversation quickly. Haye was showing them his broken hand when Roach realised the cameras were on.

No one is ducking anyone. Wlad wants haye haye wants wlad. simple.

You can't say that an injury means that a fighter is ducking someone. I wouldn't go into any kind of pro contest with an injury. George Foreman sustained a cut before the rumble in the jungle and the fight was postponed. That was a genuine injury. George wasn't going to fight injured and he was the vast favourite to win. Was there an outcry that he was trying to duck ali?

It's all down to negotiation, spin, media/fan manipulation and mind games now. The fight will happen, it's about building anticipation. The whole 'will they, won't they?' thing is a big part of that.

Make the fans desperate to see the fight and then they're happier to part with their money and it will also attract bigger numbers.
