The ropes ain't anywhere near them in that pic. Whacking people with your forearm to avoid right hands is still not on. Look at the pic "Got your left hand tucked under here, perfect, elbow over the top there as you have no hands to block it with"

did you hear mosley talk about the elbow? If it wasn't that big why would mosley warn the ref.

Floyd used the elbow a lot in the fight. if you can get away with it then do.

Great fighters are able to bend the rules a bit.

Yes you are right, the elbows won that fight for Floyd.

He threw it constantly against Hatton. Not sure what fight you were watching.

Kenny Bayliss is the ref, I think he's more of a guy who lets guys fight...I think he's one of the better refs.

The judges are: Moretti, Byrd, and Hoyle...don't know if that makes a difference for you guys.

One thing I wonder about is Shane Mosley has KIND OF fought against Mayweather's style before in the rematch vs De la Hoya (who was trained by Floyd Sr.) and he did enough to get the win then and that was vs a bigger stronger fighter, but not a faster fighter. I just wonder if Shane already feels familiar enough with PBF's style that he can sneak in 1 or 2 punches that hurt Floyd or even put him down.

I can't say i've watched all of Floyd's fights,,, but one person I recall troubling him at times was Judah... Mayweather can start looking a little less sure of himself if someone can land on him unexpectedly... Judah did surprisingly well at times during that fight, and if he was the sort of person who could capitalize on that, it could have been much more interesting..

You'd think if Shane can land at least a little more effectively that most of Floyd's other opponents, he may be able to work in from there more than Judah did and trouble Floyd like no one else really has...

You'd think.... But thinking is often stupid in the lead up to a Mayweather fight.. Accepting is usually the word you should settle on..

Yeah, Judah was effective in the first few rounds against PBF. Speed had been a factor in that fight.

Shane would have his chance against PBF.

I'll be definitely rooting for Shane.

Shane has been one of my favorite fighters ever since.

Mayweather does like to use the forearm/elbow a fair bit in fights and I do wish referees would call him out on it more. Mosley's team should make a point of it before the fight so that everyone is aware of when it is happening.
