Because he's done. He's been a legend, but him fighting again isn't good for your blood pressure. He's got nothing more to prove. it's time to get a new hero.

    How about that Khan lad?

I will support him for one final run, if he gets beaten properly then I will admit it's over, but no one can realistically say Khan beat Barrera fair and square. But yes, the aftermath of the Khan fight was a bit much. All these people going on about how Khan was outboxing Barrera. I challenge anyone to fight effectively with a blood gushing into their eye every round. Not just gushing but actively spurting from veins ripped right down to the cranium. It wasn't pretty and should have been stopped.

I can't support Khan after all that has happened. He's become the bad guy with everything being handed over on a plate. I want to see him humbled.

For some reason I can't think of another fighter that's been handed easy fights like Khan to be a "star" in boxing, a past his prime 1 eye Barrera, Kotelnik (1 of the worst titleholders at 140), Dmitry Salita, and now feather fisted Paulie.

Khan also said he should be ready for Floyd and Manny in 4 years. lol
He's hoping they become past their prime or shot by that time.

Calzaghe and Froch were right, Con boy is an manufactured champ.

Froch for all his faults has come up the hard way and that's why I have quite a bit of respect for him. He isn't always pretty but he's fighting the best fight in fight out. Then you compare him with a gobby little so and so like Amir Khan. Like you say, he gets all the breaks and for no good reason. Froch is arrogant, but he can back it up to a degree. Khan hasn't beaten anyone yet as far as I'm concerned and here he is being groomed for HBO?

I'm not keen on Khan at all and don't think I will ever be able to support him. There is just something about him and his setup that grates with me.

I actually like Froch too, sometimes he says odd things but he ducks no one and will give it his all.

Khan imo is the poster boy of what is wrong with certain elements of boxing. Took the easy road to be a world "champ" selectively cherry picks the right opponents, granted every boxer does it to a certain degree, but after getting a world title, it's time to take on real challenges. ANd he's never really proven himself like 99% of the top boxers out there. I think after Paulie he fights a shot Morales, that has been mentioned by Roach.

To be fair he took his mandatory and now he's taking Paulie, who was deemed legitimate opposition for both Cotto and Hatton. Not sure how you can find fault in that. He's got plenty of time to test himself against the divisions best.
