I don't think the fight was rigged at all, neither do I find it convincing that somebody who hasn't seen the fight suggests it has been fixed. However, I do not find it un-bearable that he does state his "dubious" yet legit opinion on that matter. It wasn't aggressive neither overboard toward nobody.

agreed, i mean its a stupid opinion, but it's his own and well he's entitled to it, no matter how ridiculous it might be

If they did fix it, why not fix it so that Mosley won? With those long odds they could have made far more than the £50m touted for the Pac fight!

There was actually quite a bit of bad blood in there, with a couple cheap and cheeky shots from Mayweather. Both clearly wanted to knock the other out.

    Not fixed. Move on.

Although one judge did score the fight 120 - 110, which seems a bit odd seeing Mosely definatley got the 2nd round.

Nah, every judge gave Shane the 2nd round.. One judge gave Shane the second round +1 other round, most likely the first.

I'm sure I heard a 120-110 in there somewhere, I think it was the last judge. I'll have to check again. Clearly wouldn't have changed the result, but it stuck out at the time.

No 11-1 was one of the judges.

To reply to the title I just don't know. I did feel it was a bit funny that Shane Mosley who usually is well known for getting his man out of there quickly when they are hurt and for finishing very strong down the stretch couldn't do either. I mean I have never seen Mayweather get hit like that. His legs completely gone and him simply being out of it for well over a half a round. Then for him to sweep every single round after that? What the hell happened to Mosley ? He didn't get hit with anything to not make him think twice about coming in for the kill. He simply held on to Mayweather after he tagged him almost like he was holding him up and then his excuse was "I tightened up". Larry Merchant said "Shane you have been fighting for sixteen years and you tightened up?".

When I watched it the first time I seen Shane lackadazicul and out of gas in about the fourth round. Mouth wide open and slouched in his corner. The only thing that came to my mind was them damn blood tests and surprise UT's. I kept wrapping my mind around it.How the hell could someone who was so good at getting his man out of there just suddenly give up. So I asked a few people what they thought about the fight. Granted these are not the brilliant Saddo posters but fighters. When I asked these 3 people. They all said the same thing. "This fight seemed funny probably fixed". Truth is I don't know myself but when millions of dollars are at stake and the potential all-time grossing fight is waiting in the background one could just never know. I would never rule out a fix.

By the looks of the post fight pictures I can image that it was more of an exhibition match. A strong punch here and there followed up by letting the guy off the hook.

    No thanks.

I'll stick to watching the upcoming fighters. At least I'll stand a better chance of seeing a real non-fixed fight.
If it had been fixed, don't you think it would have been fixed for Mayweather to lose the fight, setting up a rematch for a bigger pay per view to see if Money could avenge his loss. As it stands there may be less interest in a Money-PAC fight because of his dominance except for second round scare.

Too much real money involved in big fights now a days to fix them.

At this level, it's very difficult to 'fix' fights in comparison to when a prospect is on the way up. If anyone thinks it was a fix, check Oscar's reaction when Shane stuns Floyd, that's definitely a man who was pulling for a Floyd win

I'm gonna float something out there to play Devil's advocate: could Shane be a simple mortal once deprived of his 'enhancements'? It is strange how he looked ready to go at least 6 more rounds against Cotto and Margarito, but he's gassed after 2 with Mayweather?

you can say that. but from what i gather, PEDs only help with recovery time of reapir of muscle tissues. if that's the case, it should only affect punching power and not stamina. but then again, mosley didn't totally drop floyd with his punch, just stun him a bit.

you can also say that, maybe it's because of the last minute blood testing/s?

Don't give the Pac excuse. Mayweather had last minute blood tests too!
