As much as i would love to see that happen it won't. B-Hop passed out against RJJ in his dressing room after the fight. And he had to constantly take 5 minute breaks from BS fouls, and that was against a 30 punch a round, no legs shot RJJ. He also didn't look the part against a mediocre fighter in Enrique Ornelas.

What it is with Joe Calzaghe and old men of late ? why not fight.

    Lucian Bute
    Danny Green
    Chad Dawson/Jean Pascal
    Tavoris Cloud

    ETC.

I mean whats wrong with any of these fights ? why B-Hop who is 45 year's old ? who is Joe Calzaghe kidding ? this is one of the reason's i hate Joe Calzaghe.

Let's face it, Joe is over the hill himself now. We saw this weekend what happens to a formerly great fighter who tries to restake his claim against the best at 38 and after a lengthy layoff. Joe would be better off fighting the likes of Hopkins than all those others if he is to comeback. If he wants more then it will act as a tuneup. Joe deserves a break, I doubt he even comes back, but we shall see.

Joe Calzaghe had plenty of breaks, fighting a shot RJJ who he said he would never fight. Because it would mean nothing beating him, but yet he retired on that win.

And now is coming back against a 45 year old B-Hop. Who has looked terrible in his last two fights, and whats even more ridiculous is that it would be a rematch, i mean honestly who the hell rematches a 40+ year old fighter ?

It's just ridiculous in all honesty, even the biggest Joe Calzaghe fans. Can't defend that, as i said if he feels Lucian Bute/Chad Dawson. Are too much of threat at this stage in his career.

Why not Danny Green ? who he would beat, and it would be well hyped up. Or even Tavoris Cloud who is a young champion, but very one dimensional like Jeff Lacy, who he should beat aswell.

Just tell me what hardcore boxing fan or any fan for that matter, would want to see a Joe Calzaghe vs B-Hop rematch ? the 1st fight was awful enough.

And to think both men are even older and less effective now, the 2nd fight will make the 1st fight look like Hagler vs Hearns.

I just think Joe Calzaghe should shut the hell up and enjoy his retirement, i didn't like him when he was fighting. But ever since he's been retired he's been making himself look like an idiot.

And now this just really does take the biscuit.

This fight would be meaningless now. Neither has a title, which doesn't mean much nowadays with everyone having a title but it would give some kind of bragging rights, plus which fans are really clamorng to see a rematch In the end, who really wanted to see Hopkins-Jones 2 besides Hopkins and Jones?

Danny Green v Joe Calzaghe would be hyped By who exactly?? You think HBO would pick this fight up? Dont be silly, that would a worst fight to make rather than the Hopkins rematch.

    Calzaghe should stay retired.

Chad Dawson is the best Calzaghe fight that could be made. No way it will happen though.

Vs. Bute or the winner of Super 6 would be worthwhile too but none of those guys are as good as Dawson.

Danny Green has a very big following since his win over RJJ, i think it would be a major event in Australia. People are talking about a tune up fight for Joe Calzaghe, i can't think of a better tune up than Danny Green. Other than Tavoris Cloud, but is he really any bigger ?

Please tell me then what other fights are there for him ? he won't fight Lucian Bute or Chad Dawson. There too risky for him at this point, a fight with B-Hop would just make. Joe Calzaghe look even worse, plus it would be a terrible fight, i can't see it being that hyped in all honesty.

    I hope Hopkins retires..

He definitely shouldn't be allowed to fight top level opponents at this point.

Hopkins appears to have declined since his fight with Pavlik.

He looked above average against Ornelas and he looked awful against Jones.

Calzaghe should not make a return imo. He's not gonna be the same Joe we seen in 08.

Calzaghe needs to stay retired, Hopkins needs to retire as does Shane Mosley. Calzaghe obviously isn't going to retire though. He's not going to be the same as he was and he's going to end up getting beat against somebody.

I would like a Calzaghe/Hopkins rematch. I wouldnt pay to watch it but would hope that Joe throws a beating on B Hop. Why shouldnt Joe beat up on Hopkins? Hopkins tryed to make us think his fight with Jones was legitimate and than pretended like he was hurt from cheap shots because he couldnt step on the gas. I cant stand hopkins.

My next choice for Hopkins is David Haye, I am not a fan of Haye but would root for David to brutally KO hopkins. That I would pay to see.

I thought Hopkins was going to try to campaign at H.W., which is absolutely absurd, I.M.H.O. However, with such a crappy, lackluster division filled with a ton of snore-fest fighters, I wouldn't be surprised if Hopkins could win a title.
I think he would outpoint Haye pretty easily. I wouldn't be surprised if he stopped Klit Jr., and he would definitely outpoint Frankenstein Sr.

I knew Calzaghe wouldn't stay in retirement. The man still has a bit left in the tank. Calzaghe is an amazing athlete/boxer, and I think a fight with Hopkins at L.H.W. would be a hell of a fight. He's obviously an adrenaline junkie and isn't the fight fix since retirement, but the booze and coke are poor supplements.

Perhaps they should both put on the poundage and campaign at H.W. It would surely be a lot more interesting than the shit-show excuse for a division that we currently have to suffer through.

After watching Jones Jr - Hopkins II, I would much rather see Roy Jones vs Calzaghe II than Calzaghe vs Hopkins II.

Jones Calzaghe would be a much better fight. Other fights I'd like to see would be Calzaghe vs Dawson, Jones Jr vs Dawson, or Jones Jr vs Danny Green II.

Hopkins should be banned from the sport of boxing after that crap he pulled against Jones.
