I read the injury is bad enough that he can't even train or even travel. Being that this would have been his biggest ever payday. I just can't see this guy backing down from a fight like this because he's afraid. Just look at the Ortiz fight.

He JUST came out of a 4round war with cayo, i was extremely surprised to see the fight made so quickly

Maidana doesn't seem the type to duck anyone, I imagine he would take on Pacman given the chance

He took kotelnik at short notice and got screwed by a hometown decision

Kotelnik is a class fighter that you need a full training camp for. Didnt bother marcus he just loves kicking arse

I've seen the Kotelnik fight and he didn't look his usual gung-ho self. Can't remember if I had him infront or not, but would be hard for me to judge failry as I think Maidana is great and don't think much on Kotlenik.

From what I remember though it was a close call and I prob had Maidana infront

kotelnik dominated behind the jab but every time it got going it was because maidana had landed big and was troubling kotelnik

Your right though i only had it 115-113 maidana or something like that and he wasnt his usual gatti-esque self
