I don't think so, I think Pac is tough enough to take them shots too. I doubt he would cling on to Shanes arm for dear life but he would be hurt for a second.

the shots Shane landed would have hurt ANYONE at 147, no doubt in my mind that Mosley still is the hardest hitting welterweight today

I'm going by the way he took shots off guys like Cotto, I agree Shane still hits very hard, if you are too stationary he will KO you no question.

No doubt Mosley could have hurt Manny, but the top fighters take those punches. Pac would likely have weathered those moments too. Pac would have won by decision or stoppage down the stretch. Mosley doesn't have enough defence and would have got caught a lot.

Shane still looked faster than Cotto last Saturday and Cotto landed plenty of leather on Manny, Pacquiao isn't elusive or some defensive wiz by any means

Mosley is stopped on accumulation of punishment because he's too tired to throw anything by the start of round 3...Pac by TKO in 6

Look at how gassed Shane was after two rounds. Manny overwhelms him and it's stopped on accumulated punishment in the 9th or 10th.

Pac tends to panic a little when he takes a big shot. He tries to retaliate right away. Which would of been a mistake against Mosley. Who would catch him lunging in.

Roided up Manny versus that non roided up Shane of last week=late stoppage for Manny.

Non roided up Manny versus non roided up Shane= Manny outworks him but they're both on the verge of collapsing by the twelfth.

I'm under the impression that Shane would have hit Pacquiao a lot more often he hit Floyd and wouldnt have expended so much energy trying to find him.

I think Pacquiao would have won, but in a very difficult fight because its Floyd's elusiveness and ability to draw you into a boxing contest that makes guys like MOsley so ineffective against him. In either a slug out or a boxing contest against Pacquiao, I think Mosley does much better simply because Pacquiao isn't as skilled as Floyd.

One things for sure I don't think that Shane would have gassed out as badly as he did against Floyd.

He burned up so much nervous energy standing in front of Floyd trying to second guess him/look for shots, he couldn't just relax and let it flow like he did with Margarito... Because he was finding it hard to figure out were Floyd was/was gonna be.

Don't think he would have burned up half as much energy trying to find Pac. Pac's got a lot of Athleticism but I still don't think that he's that smart of a boxer.

I also think that the worst thing Shane could of done was hit Floyd with his money shot (right hand over the jab) so early... once Floyd has been stung there was no chance it was going to land again and Shane spent the rest of the fight looking for it.

It could've gone eitherway, PAC is hittable compared to Floyd but PAC has more power and more relentless than PBF. So If Pac got nailed by that right hand in the 2nd he could've been stopped otherwise Manny stops Mosely late in the fight.

This is the single best post on what happened in that fight. It's clear that Shane can't deal with guys who he has to figure out (Floyd, Winky & Cotto early). The difference with Floyd is that he never found anything after that 2nd round and used all his energy up trying to create openings. Pacquiao stylistically is a great fight for Shane, comes at you with a leaky defence. Shane has one of the best chins in boxing, and I still think hits harder than Pacquiao, and even if Pac does hurt him, he's not the amazing finisher that many make him out to be.
