Anyways, I thought it was a very competitive fight.
Why exactly would someone fake an injury so they could lose a fight on the cards?

Of course he wasn't faking don't be ridiculous.

He got hurt and couldn't continue, and then got screwed over with a stupid points loss.

People hold the Martinez draw against him but he wasn't a judge, that wasn't his fault, and he did take that fight at only two weeks notice.

He came to win tonight, and was boxing well up to the unfortunate incident.

I want to see how he ended up outside the ring Royal Rumble style...

By how people are saying his back landed on monitors, it could have been an injury that would have hindered his performance... Or maybe just the shock of finding himself outside the ring and layed out over some electrical equipment may have made him more sensitive to whatever pain there was,,,, yet if he suffered the same thing from a punch,,, he would have just considered it par for the course and kept on fighting..

The first 45 seconds, I believe he was in pain but not in great deal. C'mon man. He couldn't suck the pain up? If he really wanted to continue, then at least he should've showed some effort to get up. He was acting like he got paralized or something.

That's the fourth fight I've seen him biitch like that. HBO should ban him their programs.

The ref told him not to move as if it was a puncture it would have caused more damage, this si why he didn't move.

The doctors told him to stay down. I just think it's absurd to think that a professional fighter, a former world champion, and one who had the balls to beat arguably the hottest young rising star in the weight class last time out would dive out of the ring and fake an injury in order to get out of a fight most of us thought he was winning.

It should be ruled a no contest and a rematch mandated. It's disappointing for everyone involved but that's life, these things happen.

It's far more reasonable to place the blame on whoever put the ring together which offered him no support at all than to blame a fighter for getting injured just becuase you don't like him personally or thought he was gifted a draw against Martinez.

I thought Cintron was boxing well last night, no way would he want out of the fight, face down on the floor in an embarrassing fashion like that it's just a ridiculous thing to suggest.

I'm sure he has as much, if not more pride than most of us and nobody else would want to end up in that situation.

Of course he would have continued if he had been able to.

I was just kidding when I suggested falling out of the ring was some sort of plan on his part or anyone's part.

However, I think a guy with more heart would have tried to continue.

I do see why the fans are mad because this fight would've been nice to see. But I can't see any logical reason Cintron would fake this ordeal as opposed to continue to win this fight and be more lucrative. This ordeal would only devalue Cintron. Cintron was winning this fight and Williams was looking available for a composed Cintron to land that big right hand. I think Cintron came in with a good plan and picked his spots unlike how he used to fight. Even Williams wasn't coming straight in like he normally does against anybody.

Hmm, I didn't see this thread before I posted in the fight sticky. I basically said I thought that when PW seemed to actually get energized by that big RH he took, Kermit got visions of Margarito dancing in his head!

You're right, it is absurd! The doctors told him to stay down. I'm sure no other fighter would have tried to get up after being winded, but then catching their breath and realizing they were OK to fight.

Can anybody here think of a fighter who wouldn't have just stayed there motionless while the doctors rolled them over, put a neck brace on them, and strapped them onto a stretcher, even though they wanted to continue?

Hmmm, I think I can come up with some who I think would've angrily shoved the doctors away, and done their best to get back in the ring. Let's make a list. I'll start it:
