New forum sucks

I was a bit nicer with my complaining thread..

One thing Saddo is the reply with quote... It works fine with just one quote,,,,, but it doesn't work with nested quotes...
Like if Bilbo wrote something, then VD gave him crap about it, then I would hit "Reply with quote" on VD's post, it would just quote him.. Where as before it would show Biblo being quoted by VD being quoted by me...

Tell you what I'm struggling to find Saddo, I normally browse what's been going on whilst I'm offline by clicking on my user name and scanning my most recent posts... the problem is that now, when I do that... I get one or two recent ones and then loads in no particular order from 2-3 years ago

Don't know if it's the database sorting itself out or if it just doesn't do it chronologically anymore?

edit: it seems to be OK now... strange, I guess the new forum was just getting it's head together... must of had a heavy night.

edit: it seems to be OK now... strange, I guess the new forum was just getting it's head together... must of had a heavy night.

i fixed that last night mate all the search databases needed rebuilt... took 6 hours for this forum to auto sort everyones profiles out.... should be working for you now.

A few other forums have in the last few months or so upgraded and intruth look bloody awful. (no names mentioned).

Credit to Saddo he has done a great job and the new look is very good. The old forum was looking abit old.

I had to moan about this one you understand, it was different and so it needed to be said that it sucked.

But I've adapted now so it's ok I guess, although that long promised throne room building feature has clearly still not materialised.

Given that I been on this forum since the day most of your mommas were still wiping your nose and arses, I seen it change many times. In fact if anyone has any old screenshots please post up - am curious to look bacvk.

No one ever likes it initially (CHANGE IS NOT GOOD !) - I couldn't start a thread last night on my home laptop due to some java issue. But it will get sorted

I work in an IT dept that caters for 4000+ people and reading your posts was like reading our mailbox - whinge whinge whinge and expecting everything to work straightaway from the outset.

In two weeks the old forum layout will be forgotten and Saddo will have all the old features back up and running (and probably more)

Now everyone stop moaning

the sad thing is the internet is evolving all the time and if you stay using old outdated scripts you leave yourself open to be hacked and spammed to shit... i really don;t enjoy having to update this place but sometimes it has to be done or we would still be typing "great guestbook post".

and there lies the problem mate... anything new takes alittle time to learn but saying that if you had took the time to look just above your rant post you would have no need to ask where the smilies are.

this is however a problem for lazy people and 99% of internet users are to lazy to read anything including me, so it does need sorting.

What i just double clicked and it went to a different way of replying with smileys this is crazy, and about that refund?

should be fixed now mate its in your setting... in the past i had the forum set to advanced posting, with this forum not everyones setup is right for that yet its a java issue i think. i have changed your profile settings and it should now work
