Default Who would make up the perfect corner??

Say you were a fighter and you were losing badly and needed some quick advice to turn things around, and to make things worse you had just had one hell of a cut open up over your eye, what you would need is a very good corner who can see where your going wrong and how you can correct it and also where the opponent is making mistakes that you can take advantage of. Also you would need a man that can stop that gash from pumping blood out.

Who then would be your ultimate corner that could turn things around for you?? Use current trainers and cutmen.

Mine would be Manny Steward and Mick Williamson, them 2 IMO are the best 2 men at their jobs I've seen since Angelo Dundee and Eddie Futch for trainers and well Angelo Dundee as a cutman too. He used to make Carmen Basilio seem to be able to see through closed eyes when he was his cutman.

Trainer: Freddie Roach, Cutman Joe Sousa and physical coach Mackie Shilstone or maybe Ariza. Souza did wonders for Gatti countless times and we all know Gatti was renown to cut and bleed and swell easily. I would at this moment prefer Roach to Mannie as, at the moment, almost every Mannie's fighters seem to me to fight a very similar style (Wlad, Lee, Lennox, Hearns) which works well when you're quite tall with a good reach. I feel like Freddy has a lot of more versatile fighters in their style and almost every fighters that go through his hands are getting much much better in a relatively reasonable laps of time. Mannie being one of the greatest still, I just feel that Roach is more suited for what I need.

But if you look at Mike McCallum and G-Man, they are totally different fighters to the ones you mention in both style and technique and were both Steward proteges. Not disagreeing with you in Roach though, thats your opinion and I'd like to hear who everyone feels would be the ideal corner for them. Roach is a great trainer no doubt.

Yeah but it is a general tendency and i feel like Manny is king to make that frame of boxer a monster but maybe not as skillful with the others... don't get me wrong, Mannie is a top guy and I couldn't disagree or "feel sorry" for the guy who would be able to have Manny in his corner hehe, I just feel Roach is more well rounded for what I would need.
