Yeah but I wouldn't call Urkal world class. He fought 3 world level fighters (Cotto, Tszyu and Harris X2) and other than running Harris quite close first time round was beaten quite soundly each time. Although he did go the distance with Kostya Tszyu in his prime, not many can claim that.

Former Aussie World Bantamweight Champion Lionel Rose was a soft puncher, but brilliant boxer. He went in with Fighting Harada, Jose Medal and Chucho Castillo before falling victim to Ruben Olivares in August 1969. Rose had a lightning left jab and was a great counter puncher, he just lacked pop.

Earnie Shavers was not a soft puncher. He was a murderous Puncher with a stamina problem until he found skill and endurance at the end of his boxing career. I agree with most of the choices with Wilie Pepp being the top choice along with Pernell Whittaker.

Currently Cesar Rene Cuenca (light welter from Argentina) fits the bill. 37-0-0, all of 1 KO. I have seen him fight, a very awkward fighter. Low level of opposition (hardest was a disputed decision to Alex de Jesus), so his KO number is even more amazing.

I know, he is not still world-class, but I am sure he will contend for a world title down the road.
