If Cotto can beat Foreman and look good doing so, regain some of the speed he had in earlier fights at a higher weight, then I wouldn't mind seeing him fight Martinez. I think Martinez is a talented but flawed fighter in himself, I wouldn't completely rule Cotto out. It all depends to see how Cotto looks I hope he looks the top 10 P4P fighter of a couple years ago but that might be asking to much.

Ive always seen martinez has someone who is just very good at maximising what he does have without ever appearing to dazzle

The guy doesnt have amazing speed or power that you seem to suggest. Very calzaghe esque if you ask me!

    Have you seen Martinez fight?

He's got great handspeed, it's probably the best above 147, apart from Dirrell and maybe Ward. I love how consistently off the mark you are Hammer

Anyway IF Cotto beat Foreman, which I don't think he will, Martinez would be a nightmare for him. I think Miguel is close to done and would get stopped in 6 or 7. He might go a little longer if Martinez goes through his usual lull in the middle rounds, but that's the best I can see for him.

I think Martinez would win in 9th-10th round stoppage. Again Marg fight took alot out of Cotto. Still Though would be an entertaining fight Cotto is one Strong Cookie

If Cotto beats Foreman in impressive fashion then its a possible fight I'd like to see, but at the moment I want to see a Williams rematch!
