if it strue, which most prob is going on his past rest periods then even you guys who are die-hard fans of his has to admit mayweathers a coward, a runner and shouldnt be put in any p4p list ever!!!! how many times is he gona duck people...........he retired when cotto, margarito and mosley where breathing down his neck a few years ago he retired so he didnt have to fight them..........he fought a washed out gatti, a old dela hoya( i still think oscar won that fight anyway) a limited hatton( love rick but goto be honest) a limited old Baldomir. a much smaller tailor made Marquez, he fought zab judah when everyone had zab as toast. he finanly fight a old mosley......i mean come on.........wheres the big fights with a prime cotto? a margarito, pac-man....or mosley a few years back...........now this crap so he doesnt fight pac
no forum should ever mention his name again if this is true

thing is i'm not sure he has thought this out too well... in the olden days he was young enough to wait for his foes to become shot before facing them not sure that will work this time
it could be just talk like his retirement statement he did to get the best deal out of DLH.
i know one thing thou the fight with pac fell throu last time because floyd wanted Pac to take the test... pac didn't start making any demands.
speaks volumes when you think about it logically![]()

I think quitting now without going through with a fight with Pacquiao harms his reputation immensely. Floyd already has a name for avoiding the toughest fights in the higher weight classes and now wants to leave again after fighting a bloated LW and a long dormant Mosley? Surely this should be Floyd just warming up to the big fights. To call it quits now would look REALLY bad. There is a mega fight just waiting to be signed and Floyd can't make that kind of money outside of boxing. To walk away from that when all you care about is money is insane.
I find it a downright strange thing to say and then say the same thing with a straight face two or three times more.

i hope this isnt true

This smokescreen is not gonna sell like the previous ones...

He is too old to take time off again and will back worse off from the lay off. Do not beleive it in any case.
Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.

Floyd isn't stupid. He only made that comment so people about it/him. Yet more publicity to sell the biggest fight of all time.

agreed
would be like 34 when he came back and for someone who relys on speed he`d be attempting career suicide by getting back into the mix
Should just have 2-3 more fights over the next 18months and at the end of 2011 he can call it a day and if he does manage to put pacquiao away could quite feasibly claim the title of greatest of all time
one dangerous horrible bloke

Right, I'm not so sure I buy it either. You can't just walk away from a huge fight and pretend nothing happened. "Oh, I just feel like taking a couple of years off. You know how it is. La di da". It's absurd and the backlash from the fans would be huge. Surely he knows that this is the fight that will define his career. No way he can walk away from it so easily.
