Still some big fights out there for Cotto.

Him and Berto is a great fan's fight. As most has mentioned Angulo would be a great opponent too.

I think we can probably expect to see him face the winner of Chavez Jr and Duddy. Personally I think Duddy can beat Chavez and I really a Cotto Duddy fight at Maddison Square Garden. The Irish will pack that and it would be a very fan friendly fight.

Yup a fight with Berto would be evenly matched, although I do think that Berto might still be slightly bigger considering he(Berto) was a middleweight as an amateur. While Martinez and Williams are middleweights squeezing tight in the welters or superwelter, Cotto a normal sized welter is small compared to these two.

How does everyone think Cotto would do against Dzinziruk?

Could be a tough fight for Cotto.

That Dziniruk guy has a great jab that could give Cotto problems.

I think Cotto would beat him though.

rematch shane at 154 would be the best option or very hypothetical a fight with saul alverez
he can even go for a 4th belt in weight division and challenge felix sturm, but that would never happen

I forgot about him. I would pick him to decision Cotto as well. I think he'd frustrate Miguel and keep him on the outside with his jab for the majority of the fight.

Angulo is crap....I haven't seen a guy so overhyped without really having any potential since Panchito Bojado.

Miguel Cotto wouldn't just stop Angulo, he'd outbox him AND make it look easy.

Unlike Margarito #1 Angulo's wraps won't be loaded and #2 He throws fewer and slower punches VERY simple to counter but you have to move your head and legs and the guys he has fought (bar the former Manny Steward charge Kermit Cintron) no one has either had the skill to do that or even tried to do anything other than fight Angulo's fight.

The reason Cotto will STOP Angulo when Cintron couldn't is easily answered LEFT HOOK TO THE BODY

Martinez and Dzinziruk would easily outbox him and Berto, Angulo and Williams would knock him out. Lyle, I've agreed with some of your calls in the past, but if a Cotto v. Angulo fight happens, let's do a sig bet. I bet Angulo knocks him out.

And either way, it would be a great fight. I just think that as good as Cotto may have looked last Saturday, his chin, his mettle, was never tested by Foreman because Foreman is a light puncher. To me, he still is fragile. A puncher will test his will, his resolve. Moreover, I think Cotto now cuts easily and if tagged enough, he'll cut, and Foreman's leg went out before he could cut Cotto.

Cotto's best bet for a win would be to fight the winner of the Chavez Jr./Duddy fight.

The veteran Cotto would KO the amateurish Berto. That's not even a question. Angulo would lose to him also. And yes, Martinez and Williams are too big at 154 for Cotto. Cotto would likely lose to both. And please... don't insult Cotto by suggesting he waste his time with Chavez Jr. That is ludicruous, to say nothing of suicidal. Junior has never fought anybody worthy of note. He's a coddled son of a past star. He's not worthy to be in the same ring as Cotto.

I have NEVER been impressed with Angulo....to me he's a poor man's Fernando Vargas.

There's not 1 single boxing SKILL he has unless you count power as a "skill"...Angulo doesn't have good defense, he's not a solid boxer, he's just a bulldozer and I think as Miguel learns to stick and move a little better he'd be able to beat Angulo to a pulp.

If Cotto rematches Shane he'll still win because Shane is 1 punch at a time, he gets frustrated by a good jab, and Miguel hurt Shane last time what's different now?

Andre Berto is untested vs a fighter like Miguel, I like Berto but I doubt he has the focus to avoid getting rocked and once he's hurt Miguel would punish him.

Paul Williams is an interesting match, Martinez and Cintron hurt PW and we all know PW has a decent chin but what about his body? PW's not really know for his defense either, I think that is a toss up fight. Mind you Miguel hasn't really had much trouble vs southpaws.

Cintron has the style to beat pretty much anyone but he lacks heart, focus, and dedication....I think Miguel has enough heart to take Cintron to war and in a war MIGUEL WINS EVERY TIME and I doubt anyone disagrees with that. Cintron is ALWAYS looking for a way out...look how he acted vs Martinez when Sergio knocked him down legally, Cintron cried and said it was a headbutt

I'll sig bet on Miguel vs Angulo, Shane, Berto, and Cintron....I won't do it for Williams because I like both guys and it's just a toss up fight in my mind.
