Default So how good is Cotto's jab?

Personally I am starting to think its as good as any jab out there... He has been landing it on everyone, and sometimes he hits so hard that it lands the hardest punch of a round full of hooks and crosses... I seriously think he has the hardest jab p4p, and he gets it out there so fast with perfect timing... I am just trying to think where it would be p4p
    My list
    1. Winky Wright
    2. Rafael Marquez
    3. Oscar Dela Hoya
    4. Wladimir Klitschko
    5. Miguel Cotto
    6. Mikkel Kessler(I don't think his jab lands enough)
    7. Ike Quartey(if he is still fighting, but in his prime that jab was dope)
    8. JMM, he has always had a great jab
    9. Floyd Mayweather Jr., technically one of the greatest jabs I've seen, but he doesn't change it up enough which makes it easier to block.
    10. Manny Pacquaio, I have always loved his jab its hard, and is thrown from a million angles.

His jab worked to almost perfection Saturday night. Surprisingly faster than I remembered it being, and Shane ate them most of the fight on a regular basis. Top Ten IMO. Though J. Taylor seems to have forgotten to throw those "5000" against Pavlik, I still think when used, JT's is one of the best in the game. Paul Williams jab is good as he throws it about a trillion times in a fight, though it doesn't really hurt anyone he's throwing it at. JMO

I totally forgot about Jermain!!... He would have to be right after Cotto because he didn't use it was well as he could have, but he has that incredible power behind it, and he has amazing speed with it.

I think alot of people forget about JT's jab, especially JT, lol. He better get back to using it to effect, at least more than he has been. And my friend ONO? I think Cotto's jab is better than o.k. Hater JK

You seem a little antagonistic today Ono my friend. No worries, I'm sure Danny G will be here in a while and you can spar with him

Nice list Taeth. I think Cotto has the hardest jab for sure but he steps in too far with it sometimes and can be timed with an uppercut coming in,like Zab did. When he steps in the right length,it's perfect.

    100% agreed

On a serious note....Cotto jab was pretty good on Saturday. It surprised me....just not as much as it surprised Shane's nose.

Cotto's got one of the strongest & the most accurate jabs out there.

Watch his last 3-4 fights. It's gotten much much better.

He had Mosley huffin & puffin after each taste of it.
He had Judah stumblin with it.
He about blew Abdullaev's eye out with it.
He shocked Quintana with it...& he just couldn't catch up to it.

The thing about Cotto's jab is that not only does it set up all of his power shots...he works well off of it in repetition. By that I mean that the minute it lands he repeats it & it seems to be equally as heavy.

Never beg a 40 dollar hooker...specially after she's just turned down your mom's credit card!!
