Well said, I mean Joe louis is one of the few old time fighters that were not built up by myth..Most of his fights are available in one form or another for viewing and he has only lost to other greats....1 loss was before his true prime and the other 2 after his best days...all 3 are HOF fighters 1 of the 3 a top 20 atg HW the other a top 5....Even with the bum of the month stint Joe was never in question...

With that being said it is not as if he would walk over Holmes...Larry is a top 10 ATG HW but like stated he did get caught by lesser fighters when he should not have and if that was to happen against Louis Larry would be on his back for sure...

Joe was a hellafied finisher..


As for size in his prime Larry was 6'3" and went between 220 and 225...Joe was 6'1" and his weight varied but it really was not enough to make a huge difference...The speed of louis would have evened it out
