Looks like a done deal
By Mark Vester
According to a report in Daily Mail, Audley Harrison has agreed to a £1million offer to challenge David Haye for the WBA heavyweight title on November 13. The fight would be carried on Sky pay-per-view. Harrison's promoter, Matchroom Boxing, is waiting for Haye's side to finalize the deal. If the deal has indeed been reached, it means heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko will be moving forward with his mandatory WBO title fight against Alexander Povetkin.
Yeah just read this, must say as a Haye fan i'm very disappointed. I've been away recently and have struggled to get on here and when I finally do get back on i'm greeted with news like this.
Only one positive thing to say about this fight, this will be the end of Fraudley Harrison.
will be a very fun fight while it lasts
Anyone who doesnt give audley a chance really doesnt know too much about heavyweight boxing. All logic says this should be an absoloute massacre for david haye but ive just got this banging sensation at the back of my head that if audley does land clean at any point its gonna be twice as powerful as anything the likes of thompson/valuev etc have ever landed on haye
one dangerous horrible bloke
I do think Audley is more of a threat than people give him credit for. Haye needs to hurt him early. Whenever harrison get's slightly hurt he turns to pussy and goes into a shell and doesn't throw much back.
Still not convinced this fight is going to be made just yet though.

Well I hope you guys are pleased......I feel bad for Povetkin an example will be made of him just on account of this.
One can certainly hope Harrison gets beat but even if he does there's no certainty that a Klitschko fight happens....maybe Chicken Little takes a fight vs the likes of a Derek Chisora or a Larry Olubamiwo.
I have one simple question "How long will he run?"
Harrison has accepted a £1m offer to fight David Haye.
I don't feel sorry for Povetkin, I am very happy for him. He has been waiting for his shot for ages now and it looks like he'll get it. I actually think Povetkin will put up a better show than anyone else has done recently too. Shame he doesn't hit hard or i'd give him a shot of smashing good ol' china chin!!
That is a ridiculous statement. The Klits have basically cleaned out the top ten heavyweights other than Haye (and Povetkin) and that fight hasn't happened due to Haye's reluctance. I wouldn't have a problem with Haye working his way up the rankings, but he has basically used the Klitschko's name to do it. That's the problem. He got a great offer from Vlad (much more lucrative!) and turned it down to fight Harrison?
