This could easily go down in history as the greatest fight that never happened. If Roger doesn't go to prison Floyd will be ready to fight but something tells me pacquiao won't be. One of the combatants will always some issue that will keep them apart.

I'd be very interested to see what floyd does if roger get's sent down. He may retire.
Did that reason come from Floyd or his team or is it your assumption? Just asking.
No it's stating the blindingly obvious.

Steve Farhood & Bill Dettloff made some interesting points, the main one being that 75% of what we think we know is probably pure bullshit. The person I want to hear from is Ross Greenberg because we was apparently the 'negotiator' so he can shed light on what did or didn't happen.

They also interestingly mentioned 3 other occasions when the #1 & #2 P4P guys have fought in the past. Hearns-Hagler, Spinks-Tyson & Whitaker-Chavez. On none of those occasions did the fight take place when people first called for it, with Tyson-Spinks being the shortest, happening a year after talks began. I mean Hearns-Hagler took 3 years before they finally fought.

Floyd will beat Pac man so really do not know why he is not signing, it just does not make sense.

Ever think he may want to see what happens with his Uncle Roger's case in August? Why would he sign for a fight and then risk losing his main trainer? You could say that Roger went to jail when he fought Baldomir but Pacquiao is no Baldomir, and Floyd wouldn't want to spare any expense. Arum is making all this noise while in reality not trying to make a deal with Mayweather at all as Ellerbe has asked Arum to prove he even tried to reach Mayweather, and so far Arum has been quiet. What Arum wanted to do was like a smart promoter lead people to think one fight isn't happening so that they can get you to order them fighting someone else in 'support' of them. Heck it worked with Clottey vs Pacquiao.

Notice how Arum loves to say how Pacquiao will fight anyone and he tries to make these fights, but it seems like its only Mayweather as the guy outside of his stable he would allow Pacquiao to fight?

Bring up Timothy Bradley or Paul Williams and he will say they can't fill arenas and he gives out "no free rides" and then tries to make us buy that a rematch with Cotto or a Margarito fight makes more sense.

Don't know how long people will buy into Arums BS.

    May be true.

Could it be that Floyd THINKS there is a chance that Pacquiao beats him?

So, it means Floyd didn't say it .....

Why the heck didn't Floyd 'loudmouth' Mayweather just say it himself??!!

At one point in time the rumor was that Floyd needed the money so what's the problem, sign on the dotted line and call Manny names until fight night. If you screw around with the fan's budget remember this Floyd there are other fighters that hold our interest and your fifteen minutes of fame isn't worth it's weight in sh** if you don't fight often and with the proper opponents. You are not boxing you are a by product just like those ingredients in the so called all meat dog foods.

I find it hilarious that people are saying "Floyd better hurry before Pacquiao picks a better fight etc"

I bet Floyd is rushing to the phone with the knowledge that Arum won't let Pacquiao within 100 yards of Tim Bradley or Paul Williams because they 'can't fill arenas' and is making his next prospect of fights with Cotto or Margarito.

Oh yes, a Cotto rematch or a Margarito fight with Pacquiao would just leave Mayweather in thr dust so badly..

Floyd doesn't have to rush anything and Arum knows that too.

    @Majesty
I could agree the Floyd seems cannot be rush well i say its talked for a couple of weeks, a months i guess have already been on negotiation at first but just collapse , Boxing community, fans are already want this to make it happen even you i guess

Just wondering why he's back in an instant prior to Hatton-Pac fight when Marquez want to challenge him? do you think he's back for almost a 2 year lay off to challenge a lightweight champion to be be back for p4p stature or just for easy money? How bout Floyd-Pac can you call that an easy money?

Correct me if i'm wrong but what i see the Floyd-Pac is more then just what he did to Marquez or Shane, Floyd knows this that's why he was called Money May unless he didn't really want to fight.

Maybe, Floyd's hands cannot fight more than once a year?
