With Margarito and Pacquiao presumably out of the picture for a while, who should Cotto fight next? There are a lot of good fights to be made at 154. Consider that he has only had one fight at 154.

Who should Cotto fight next?
With Margarito and Pacquiao presumably out of the picture for a while, who should Cotto fight next? There are a lot of good fights to be made at 154. Consider that he has only had one fight at 154.

i think he should try and fight Dzinziruk, can finally give the guy US exposure, it would be a unification bout, and well with Williams talking about going back to 147 to avoid a rematch with Martinez, and Martinez staying at Middleweight, Dzinziruk is technically the best guy in the division, he's undefeated and has solid wins over Santos, Lujan, and Julio, plus the guy has decent power and is a big Jr. Middleweight at 6 ft.

I hear that. My only thing is that is a pretty tough test for his second fight at 154. I've read Angulo didn't want to fight Dzinziruk at this stage. Not saying Cotto couldn't win that fight. How about an all-Puerto Rican showdown with Cintron?Originally Posted by ElTerribleMorales

well a Cintron/Cotto fight is a very sellable fight, only thing i'm pretty sure Arum would try and hold out until next summer to take advantage of the Puerto Rican day parade weekend
