You back up every single thing Cotto does, good or bad. Clearly, IYO it would be understandable. I don't disagree, here, however, for different reasons. If you are going to be a champion at 154, fight some of the top 154 guys. Foreman and Martirosyan are top ten guys. In a way, Cotto is making his way up the ladder of competition at 154. His next fight after Martirosyan should be against tougher opposition at 154. Martinez, Angulo, Williams, Dzinziruk etc. Truthfully, a fight against Dzinziruk at 154, would be a great match-up of styles. I favor Dzinziruk, but I haven't seen enough of him to be completely confident in his abilities. At this stage, I see Angulo pulverizing Cotto. Williams outworking him with volume and Martinez outclassing him. I don't want to see a Pacquiao rematch.
i don't back up every sing thing Cotto does, it was reported that he was in negotiations here in PR when Mayweather came over here, and as i said i was hoping that Cotto wouldn't take the fight, apart from maybe Jennings and Gomez, name one weak fighter he's taken on since 2007 so same way as other fighters such as Bute and Pavlik deserved a break and chance to take on gimme i think Cotto should at this point, especially given how his fight with Pacquiao ended and the fact that he has a new trainer, i'm not saying he should just take on guys like Foreman and Martirosyan for the rest of his career, cause i'd love to see him take on guys like Berto, Bradley, Williams, Cintron, Dzinziruk, Martinez (at 154), Angulo (who i think Cotto would completely outbox), and even a rematch with Margarito (cause i believe that Cotto would beat the shit out of the cheat in a rematch), but he does deserve a chance to take on decent competition as he is doing while he adjusts to being with Steward, it's not like he's taking on someone like Lujan, Julio, or R.
