Respect the opinion, however I think Berto would DESTROY, I think CRUCIFY would be a better description, Cotto. Probably a worst beating then he took from Manny Pac. Mostly because of the mileage but also Berto hits harder and is obviosuly bigger than Manny and he still has alot of speed.

As for Angulo, he doest the same as Berto but slower and he may not get the knockout but he punishes Cotto all the same.
who of not has Berto blasted out? i mean it took him longer than both Williams and Cotto to get Quintana out of there, Berto has been hurt by light punchers before (Collazo and Cosme Rivera) and Cotto hits a hell of a lot harder than both, both have stamina issues in the later rounds, and Berto tends to throw the gameplan out of the window, add in the fact that he has yet to face a marquee name, Cotto stops Berto in 8, also don't forget that a Jr. Welterweight did what Berto couldn't which was knock Urango the fuck out, Berto never even really wobbled him, hell he didn't look impressive at all in a long time cause even Quintana was able to get to him early on

I'm still waiting for someone to capitalize on Berto's glaring weakness's (defense, footwork, inside game). Cotto definitely has the skills to be the man, I mean if Collazo had more power he would have been that man. I don't understand the argument that Cotto is not ready for Berto, the statement should be reversed, Cotto has to be one of the best boxer/punchers in the last 5 years whilst Berto 100% relies on his amazing hand speed. I can understand from the business side not wanting the fight, Berto isn't a big draw and has kinda fallen off the radar since backing out of his fight with Mosley (please note I don't hold it against him, but it is what it is).
For every story told that divides us, I believe there are a thousand untold that unite us.

It's not so bad that Berto backed out of the fight with Mosley, but no follow up act? I think his management and team are looking for a better spot to put Berto on display. Someone more road worn and box-able. And, I don't think it's going to happen this year. He is gonna have trouble finding fights, and his stock has dropped out after Callazo pushed him to the edge in a fight he thought he was going to showcase his abilities..

Berto is not at fault for not putting Urango on the canvas. Obviously you haven't watched very many of Uragos fights, because he definitely has one of the best chins in boxing. And, the guy who did stop him? Well guess what, Devon Alexander is one of the hardest punchers in boxing. And Randal Bailey put Urango on his ass in the 6th with one of the hardest right hands I've ever seen. A career ending shot for most, but got up and Urango came back to win that fight.

Alexander is one of the hardest hitting fighters today, but Berto isn't, that's my point, as for Bailey although he does have devastating power (even today) he is way past his best, so if he was able to drop Urango so badly why wasn't Berto if he had this fearsome power that some of the other guys are saying he has
