The key is Self-discipline.
if Margarito beats PAC, he beats him but because of the addage of a good big man beating a good little man. PAC has had a nice run and he is going up against a man that is bigger than him with a high work rate. If Margarito fights Floyd the defense master, let us not forget Floyd has fought others that hit hard and Floyd so far has taken a few hard shots over the years. I still don't like him but it depends on how hard it would have been to defeat PAC. The longer the fight and the more intense, the better Floyd's chances are. It would be interesting but I am pulling for the PACMAN in this one. Forgiveness doesn't cut it when it came to the scandal but then again no one asked me and I wasn't in the dressing room so that judgement never popped into the equation, just the question. What if?
If Margarito beats Pac, I will cut off my penis and sell it on ebay.
Pac won't lose, the fight won't even be in a regulated state, so he can take as many drugs as he wants!
But seriously, much like the PBF vs Mosley fight where we all thought for a little while "what if mosley wins......" then we saw the fight and realised it was never likely to happen.
Margarito is good and it should be a entertaining fight, but he would have to knock out Pacman which I can't see, if it goes to the judges he'll be doomed.
Pac will do the same, if not more, to Margarito than what Mosley did.
on paper, pacquiao will be too fast for margarito and should win by comfortable decision. but fights are not fought on paper. they are fought in the middle of the ring between two humans. pacquiao is good but he isn't a machine that can't get hurt by any human. in margarito, he'll be facing a hungry fighter hell bent on trying to recover his damaged reputation. forget about his lack of speed because it did not prevent him from beating the much faster miguel cotto who by the way, i believe, hasn't been the same since margarito beat him. people say mosley KO'd margarito so automatically pacquiao should do the same? wrong answer! first of all, mosley i believe, hits harder than pacquiao. and besides, we don't know how pacquiao's power is going to translate at 154. margarito will probably be weighing in excess of 160 lbs. so i'd be surprised if pacquiao would be able to hurt him. another thing, in the clottey fight, even though clottey threw so few punches, he still managed to mark up pacquiao's face. now imagine margarito going forward, pressuring pacquiao from the get-go and throwing in excess of 1000 for the fight! imagine margarito punishing the body of pacquiao from round one! will pacquiao still be fleet afoot in the late going? will margarito finally catch him with a body shot late or slow him down enough that pacquiao succumbs to margarito's relentless pressure? maybe he can't, maybe he can. that's why we can speculate all we went. we can say pacquiao will have an easy fight but as chris berman always says, "that's why they play the game (fight)".
IF Margarito was to beat Pacquiao I wouldn't be shocked....I mean maybe this is just me but I'm still shocked that the little dude I saw destroy Jorge Eliecer Julio on the Lewis-Tyson undercard has not just beaten but STOPPED Oscar De La Hoya, Ricky Hatton, and Miguel Cotto. That's all still sinking in for me....from 120 to straight owning people at 147!!! Remember when Diego Corrales who just moved from 135 up to fight Joshua Clottey, well compare that to what Pacquiao did to the guy....I mean just amazing.
HOWEVER I think Margarito is a shot fighter, I think he KNEW about the illegal wraps, I think his confidence was shattered when he was found out, and I think Pac could starch him lik ehe starched Hatton (not implying Hatton had shot confidence or used illegal wraps, but just in terms of shear brutal "put to sleep" KO'd)....I think Margarito is just a beaten man (litterally and figuratively) since the Mosley fight and Pac is so money right now he'll walk right through him.
And mind you I'm no Pacquiao fan...I have just been impressed by his work recently, impressed enough to have my doubts about whether or not he's acheiving this legitimately
no matter what happens one things for sure.................mayweather wont fight pac if pac wins.....he'll fight margarito MAYBE if margarito wins
IF he beats Pac, then big congrats to him and MMA sports (yeah, it'd be bad for boxing).
But he's just too damn tailor made for Pac. A come-forward-fighter and loves to exchange,... just the way Manny like 'em. Margacheato will eat lots of stinging punches from nowhere.
