If your boy is a swarming fighter than he must fight like a swarming fighter. He must get up in on him and just throw punches. Bully him. Del Valle is 42 years old. He can't keep up a modest pace. Much less a good, fast one. If your boy can keep up a fast pace than he'll be alright. Del Valle has never been stopped before. So hopefully your boy stamina is good. Cuz it's going to be an all nighter. Del Valle knows how to fight. His body just can't keep up any more. He'll be a threat for the first 2 rounds than he's done if the pace is fast. Your boy weak chin is a concern. But Del Valle ain't scored a stoppage in about 6 years. So unless your boy's chin is A Mere Con like he should be able to handle Lou's shots.

Ends up that the fight didn't happen and I heard a number of stories as to why...

    1. LDV was 2 pounds over weight
    2. LDV was 10 pounds over weight
    3. LDV was injured
    4. LDV was any one of the above AND didn't want to fight my buddy

Any way you slice it my friend missed out on a huge fight but earned himself a vacated belt and will hopefully defend it successfully in the future. My friend did come into the fight in excellent shape (as usual) and he had KO'd a few sparring partners in the gym (none of which were me ). I will hopefully keep going to the gym and resume sparring again in the near future...I'll let you know how that goes.

This is the only vid I could find of him...not his best work but you'll get the idea

    And here's his record
    Paul Jennette - Boxer

Not the best record, but he's a very good fighter for around NC, he has bad habits (re: in fight discipline, he squares up and chooses to exchange too often), but hell all fighters have a few weaknesses. But he always shows up in shape and always gives 100%...he can't be in a bad fight.
