It reminded me of a good Brooklyn street fight I saw once. Besides the busted lips and loose teeth, these guys had lots of beer to end their pain. The rest of us were amazed no one was killed.

Im a fan of Tyson but he got owned fair and square that night.
In round 7 he tried to get his own back and he went in with his head but came out worse. He was just getting bullied and did well to last to round 11 tbh.
In the rematch he knew what was coming and had given up by the 3rd.
I just found this. Made me laugh.
BBC - Ben Dirs: Wishing Holyfield would disappear
Holyfield told me the story of the first time he met Tyson between the ropes, 12 years before their first world title fight in 1996 and the abomination that followed, when 'The Baddest Man on the Planet' turned grisly gourmand and made a meal of his rival's ears.
"Every time Mike sparred he tried to kill people and his trainer warned me, 'you sure you want to do this Evander? Mike hit real hard'. We got in the ring, he tried to do all that stuff and I pinned him in the corner. They all knew then that it makes no difference how big you are, I'll go toe-to-toe with you. From that point on, Mike knew I'd look him in the eye and say, 'OK, let's go.'"
This must be the same time that Holyfield manned up to Mike by a pool table at the olympic trials.
Thing is. This was early in 1984, Mike would have been 17!! While Evander was 22!!![]()
Mike gave up after the 5th and realised that he was not conditioned enough and ready for a seasoned fighter like Holyfield after the last barrage in the 5th. Tyson tried to get himself disqualified and get the fight stopped on a cut but after that was not going to happen he took his beating like a man. He shook Holyfields hand after in the press conference after.
Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.
Holyfield had EVERYTHING going his way vs Tyson...Evander had supreme conditioning, a granite chin, better than average handspeed, quality defense, and his power was not 1 punch lights out power but it would wear someone down real quick. Evander pressed his opponents into action either by movement, punching, or just physically muscling up on them...he would sap his opponent's energy and seemingly absorb it for himself to use, the guy RARELY got tired.
Mike Tyson was bad, yes he had quick hands, he had a great chin, he had above average defense for a power puncher, and he had very quick hands....but he stopped throwing combinations, he allowed himself to get tied up on the inside, and his stamina sucked all those are the REAL Mike Tyson post prison...before prison he was a different story, but he would have always lost to Evander. Styles make fights
