Because the Klitschko brothers have established themselves as the dominant heavyweights since Lennox Lewis retired. They've been willing to fight all comes and have actively sought out the best and most demanded opponents (including Haye) of what is admittedly a putrid division. They haven't run their mouths about breathing new life into the Heavyweight division and all that bullshit, nor have they talked shit about fighting certain individuals only to overtly duck them on two separate occasions . Haye has barely established himself as a legitimate heavyweight, but his talk has already been demonstrated to be utter bullshit and he has zero credibility. He ran his mouth in order to make himself money and is now taking the easiest route possible, which is fine I guess, but he's got zero credibility, his big mouth has been completely shut ever since Klitschko offered him an incredibly fair deal, and even most of his "fans" have begun turning against him.
The difference between the Klitschko's and Haye is, in a word, credibility.
Your allowed your opinion. i don't have to agree with it though.....
maybe they will fight all comers, but the standard of what they're both fighting at the moment I would discribe as piss poor at best.
By all accounts they tried to set up fights with at least three fighters other than Peter and Briggs, all of whom avoided them. Haye - because he is a no-credibility shit-talker who appears to only be in the game to make as much money as easily as possible; Povetkin - because his own trainer didn't think he had a chance; and Valuev - because he demanded too much money (or so I have read).
Who else should they have fought? Even Briggs and Peter are better than Audley Harrison.

You know Hornfinger, it used to be that heavyweight title holders would just wait until their mandatory came up to defend their title...The Klitschko's are very active champions...of course Sam Peter is the mandatory now, but Wlad is having a difficult time finding an opponent that will actually fight him. Vitali just doesn't have much time to fuck about with Valuev and Don King haggling over contracts....Briggs took the money and I'm fairly certain Shannon could still beat Valuev so IMO he might not be a better fight but he's a more risky fight.
A 50/50 split with THE Heavyweight Champion of the World with no futures and hell Wlad was even up for fighting at Stamford Bridge and giving up any home field advantage....but I suppose a trinket title holder who may have at one time drawn in close to 20K fans deserves a little more money
Hey its hard to make a good fight when no one wants to fight you
You think Shannon Briggs would beat Valuev?? Really? I don't. I know Valuev is shite but Briggs is even worse. I mean his greatest achievement is going the distance with a 47 year old fat George Foreman and getting a total gift decision and that was what 1996ish? He's even worse now.
