Paquiao really does make me fucking sick.
Paquiao really does make me fucking sick.
Pacquiao or his dumb fuck fans CAN NOT take the moral high ground on any fighter or athlete. End of story.
Margarito does not deserve this pay day. He didn't look good in his last fight against a journeyman and Shane stopped him in the fight before. Not to mention, even giving him the benefit of the doubt, which I personally don't, he allows people on his team to wrap his hands with concrete. Moreover, has never said anything bad about Cepitillo. He just blames him. He should have come down a lot harder on him. Said it was bad for the sport and that he should be banned for life. It makes you wonder... If there is one person who doesn't deserve this fight, it's Margarito. The only reason Margarito is getting this fight is because he is a Top Rank fighter and the only well-known available Mexican fighter at or around that weight and Mexicans will buy the ppv and spend money on tickets in Texas. Berto and Bradley deserved it more, but they aren't Arum's fighters, and they aren't Mexican.
All that said, Margarito has a chance to spoil the Pac/Mayweather clash. He is much bigger than Pacquiao and has a much longer reach. He's coming in at a comfortable weight for him - he'll probably outweigh Manny by 15-20 pounds at the time of the fight. Plus, Manny is not a strong puncher at that weight. I can see Pacquiao not being able to keep Margarito off him for twelve rounds.

This is a the toughest test for Pac north of Super Featherweight. And Someone said this will be worse than the Clottey fight. NO WAY. Marg throws twice as many punches. Pac will get hit too, it's just a matter of what he can handle.
I still don't see Marg winning this in any way unless it's an earlier knockout. I say that, but Marg comes on pretty strong down the stretch in his fights.
I don't think it's a publicity stunt for him to say "he knew...". Is it not possible this is just what Pac thinks, and it's ONE person's opinion? I' am glad he stepped up and confronted the issue. But he doesn't care about the drama, as long as the playing field is equal.
I'm not upset about the matchup at all. I think it will be an action fight.
"Floyd needs to inject Xylocaine into his balls to gain the courage to fight Pacquiao."
- and I quote from some random guy on the internet
i see margarito pressuring pacquiao like he's never been pressured before, and it's going to play into margarito's hands. so anyone who thinks this is a gimme fight for pacquiao is sadly mistaken to say the least. whether margarito deserves this fight nor now, it's a done deal so get over it. margarito served his one year suspension and deserves this fight because the state of texas has licensed him.

even not considering his questionable behavior, he is allowed to fight because Texas licensed him, but he doesn't deserve the fight. he lost to shane, was suspended for a year, and he looked garbage against a journeyman. and now he has the chance to fight the top fighter in the game? how does that make sense?
and to the wrapping scandal, margarito's story that he didn't know what his trainer was doing would have been lot more believeable if he had shown surprise and then anger toward the trainer. but, he didn't show any anger. and it seemed like he fired him only so he could continue his career. that doesn't show the proper respect for the sport at least not from an innocent man. he didn't ask the trainer if the trainer had done it in his past fights or anyting. he tried to sweep it under the rug. no remorse. .

Margarito wasn't earning anywhere close to what he's going to get against Pacquiao, this is going to be his biggest payday by quite a wide margin, that's what is so fucked up about the situation, the guy cheats in the worst way possible in a fight sport, gets a suspension, then rewarded with a career high payday, utter bullshit
