What a boring fight. I have given up on Lorenzo, he doesnt have the power against good opponents, its only walk overs he's knocking out. Sturm is just plain boring. I hope Sylvester beats him, but he will probably fight someone I have never heard of.

Felix is a bit to cautious and conservative, boxes really well but nothing spectacular. From round 3 to 9 it looked like lorenzo shouldn't even be in the ring with him and that was with felix barely upping his output, but then the last three rounds he just let lorenzo get back into it by almost throwing nothing. I think he will just spend his career fighting in germany and keep defending the belt against b level competition, though I think he'd be good enough to give most a run for their money. He might up his game and keep it up for a full 12 rounds if he had someone in front of him whom required him to do so.

Team Lorenzo was not happy with the official verdict. “They scored like in amateur boxing”, said the challenger. “Did they even count my body punches? I was more active. He is a great champion and I thank him for this opportunity but I believe I won the fight and should be in possession of the WBA belt.”
Lorenzo’s co-manager Kurt Emhoff announced that Team Lorenzo will file a protest to the WBA in regard of the decision. Sturm’s response: “He should take a quick look in the mirror (at the bruises on his face) and re-watch the fight. But everyone is entitled to their opinion.”
The punch stats also favored the WBA champion, landing 249 out of 478 shots (52 percent). Lorenzo was in fact more active but landed less – 105 out of 639 (16 percent).
This was neither a bad nor a controversial decision, but a clear cut win for Sturm, who is already planning his next title defense for early or mid December. There was no mention of a possible opponent. “It’s tough to find a great opponent,” said Sturm. “Not too many of them want to step into the ring with me. But we promised to take on big challenges and we will deliver.”

Bad looser indeed, no way can you score that fight in lorenzos's favor. Sturm landed more, and the more effective punches, and walked lorenzo down. The only thing sturm could have done is been more active in some of the rounds that he let lorenzo take. I hope the wba dismisses the claims and felix actually does take on "big challenges".
