what is there to hate about calzaghi?

i can kind of understand people disliking people like mayweather or froch or haye coz they are out spoken (I likie them all)

but calzaghi is pretty down to earth and unassuming

is it coz he is good?

I hate his Dad mostly. But he stayed coddled in England for a long time until the Lacy fight when he was already a slap happy old man. He still kicked Lacy and Kessler's ass but yeah I didn't like him til the whole cocaine scandal thing where he was unfairly victimized by some prick.

they are rubbish, but it doesnt lead to hate

mind you when that dude commentated on that contender thing in newcastle that time, cant remember his name, used to have something to do with training tyson. You know the event what robin reed and anthony small fought on?

anyway there was him and a couple of english guys commentating, one of the english dudes was duke makensie i think. and the emerican commentator completely spoiled the event for the tv viewer, he wouldnt shut up and someone else would try and say something and hed just carry on rambling crap, i had to watch it with the sound down in the end

Max Kellerman seems okay to me now. He just need to take it easy on energy drinks though.

Manny steward is still a bias prick. But you can tell he's doing his best to not to.

Agreed, I see nothing to dislike in Calzaghe. There are holes in the resume, but it's the same in all the elite boxers these days. There is no excusing that in any of them. I've always loved Calzaghes aggresive style and ability to adapt come what may. He is also a likeable enough chap from what I have seen in interviews too. He's hardly a Floyd Mayweather type. He doesn't beat up women nor rave in a homophobic and racist manner. He seems alright compared to a lot of the other boxers out there.

by all accounts calzaghe is considered by many in the know to be one arrogant little prick

No, I disagree with that. Obviously he is proud of being undefeated since being a teenager and rightly so. I see nothing arrogant in being proud of your accomplishments. He knows his own self worth and that is not neccessarily a negative character trait.

I quite like how he comes across as a person and am of course a fan of the boxing. My impressions are all from interviews. I obviously have no idea what he is really like, but see nothing to suggest that he is all that rotten.

Kermit Cintron is a good call actually and Margarito is a no brainer. Nobody likes him except Miliscar...something or other.

he took some punishment against cotto tho and made it a fantastic fight coz of his style and aggression

im looking forward to the pac fight, i dont reckon it will be a walk in the park that most are saying

could margarito really have been mentally right against mosley considering? i think his chin will hold out and i think it will be an exciting fight

I also really dislike Winky Wright. Not as a person, he seems like a really nice guy. It's that style that I just find quite boring to watch. It's very effective, but for me a bit of a turn off.

Andre Ward too. I can't stand his nickname and think he should rename himself 'the Billy goat from heaven'. Again, a style that I just can't sit back and admire.

Like others have said hate's a bit strong so I'm going with dislike

Cintron- for crying himself out of a ko loss to a draw against martinez.

Haye- Talked so much shit and then puff nothing.

Ward- Call it wiley/crafty I call it dirty, maybe it's cause he beat kess whom I had favored or maybe it's his inane nick "son of god" can ya say get down to earth man.

Berto- Don't see all that much in him other than his super fast hands, dastardly stupid comments after the sad valero murder/suicide.
