Default Brandon Rios is the real deal!

I think Brandon Rios is going to be a future world champion. Since I started following is career about five years ago, he's improved leaps and bounds. His victory tonight was very impressive. He said he wants Humberto Soto next and guess what, I think he will him if Soto ever gets the guts to fight him.

Yeh I like him too. He walked Peterson down and broke through...great winners attitude also

But I dont think Soto lacks for guts and though he can be boxed by movers Im not sure squared Rios is the one to do it right now. Soto can stay long with decent movement and I get a headache just thinking of the uppercuts these two woule be throwing Wish Antillion would get back on track.

You know whats sad. Deserved Rios is headlined in title thread and not mentioned since, more so by thread starter? How does he beat Soto milmascaras...or do you hope for a draw given both backgrounds and non mud hut affiliations ?

And back on to Rios...I thought he looked really good and look forward to seeing him stepping it up some more down the road.

I thought he looked good against a mentally weak opponent who could not adapt to his pressure. Despite this, Peterson was landing almost at will and if he had any power I think the outcome would have been very different. I'm intrigued by the prospect of a Ortiz - Rios match, I think it would be a foty candidate, but I would expect Ortiz to stop him.

Okay, the thread has been cleaned up. It goes without saying, but racist comments of any kind will not be tolerated here.

i second that cfh. rios outweighed peterson by at least 10 pounds on fight night he is not going to enjoy that against ortiz.

Rios was very impressive, but the weight disparity is concerning. He is very exciting & I am interested to see him progress from here. Anyone for a Katsidis fight?

Peterson is idiotic for fighting the fight he fought, although I always thought Anthony to be the more undisciplined of the two. But yeah mentally weak is right, because Peterson has serious talent but it looks like it's squandered. Rios is a good little pressure fighter though, but like Spicoli I'm just not sure that he's ready for Soto. I could be wrong though, I thought Peterson was a worse matchup for Rios then his previous opponent Antillon was (I'm a big fan of both Antillon too) but after finally watching the fight I can see I'm dead wrong. Would love to see that Ortiz/Rios bout.
