But I don't see why the ref should be bad mouthed. Enzo was winning the fight up to that point. He's regarded as a heavy puncher. So the chance of a hail mary punch was there. He was hurt. No doubt. But he beat the count. He got up. Fighters being badly hurt before and coming back to win has happened.

One of the main purposes of having the third man in that ring is to protect the fighters when they don't know well enough to protect themselves. He came up from that count not looking stable, and with his hands down the ref shouldn't have let him walk into a execution like that. There's letting a fighter have a chance, and there's letting him get hurt, that was an example of the second.
