As mad as HTH is, I actually think he might be right in this one. I give Froch a decent shot of outboxing Abraham and working a decision. He needs to bank early and then be extra vigilant down the stretch. As Abraham begins to open up he will give Froch opportunities.

    Should be a corker.

Like Froch always does he'll get into a punch-up but this time he'll be facing a guy just as strong and probably one of the top P4P punchers in the world.

For Froch it's gonna be - TIMMMBBERRR!!!

I think the big difference in this fight will be the defense of Arthur Abraham, his defense is pretty solid. And in a fight like this, where it will be a punch up from the opening bell. I think the smart money would be on the man, with the much better defense aka Arthur Abraham.

And since when has Fighter 'A' beat Fighter 'B' so can't beta Fighter 'D' logic ever been relevant?

Thats nothing mate, he also claimed Carl Froch was robbed vs Mikkel Kessler. And was ahead on points going into the last round vs Jermain Taylor.

he said froch whopped dirrell not whipped, theres a difference

and he whopped him good, if the ref had of had any bottle dirrell would have been DQ'd after 5 rounds for running and holding

Thats one way of looking at it but on the other hand you could say Abraham knocked Dirrell spark out and Dirrel handed Carl a boxing lesson so how can anyone give Carl a hope in this fight especially when Dirrell who has been in with both men thinks Abraham wins this one early.

If your interpretation of a boxing lesson is running around for 12rounds and falling on the floor at every opportunity then yes your right

hth - Froch and Dirrell was close anyway you look at it - Froch barely pulled it out. Dirrell beat Abraham because of his work rate. Froch and Dirrell have completely different styles. Moreover, Abraham looked a lot better than Froch against Taylor whereas Froch beat Taylor in the last few rounds, Abraham was winning the majority of the fight before he knocked Taylor out. However, Taylor and Froch have very different styles. I thought Froch's workrate wasn't high enough in the Kessler fight, and from what I've seen to beat Abraham, a high work rate is essential. Plus, Froch has a horrible habit of keeping his hands low, against a fighter like Abraham who has a devestating punch, that could spell trouble. Froch has grown on me a little bit. I'm not counting him out in this one, but I think Abraham should be favored.

either way, my point was mainly that styles make fights. Dirrell showed how to beat Abraham - workrate and defense. keep hooking and punching his gloves and make him miss. froch keeps his hands low and his work rate was a little suspect in the Kessler fight. i thought the Kessler fight was a winnable fight for Froch, like it wasn't about Kessler winning, as much as it was about Froch losing.
