No, I am quite serious. I think Khan has learned to hold back more and utilise his movement better, but it's still the same old Amir Khan. Stick him in with a threat and then let's see how much he has improved. Khan is in his element against the Salita's, Kotelnik's and Malignaggi's of the world, but let's see it against the punchers. How he responds to getting tagged by someone who can throw with mean intentions is where the improvments can be gauged, but currently I'm not so sure it is all that readily apparent.
Amir Khan has improved somewhat, but then again i think the Amir Khan before the Breidis Prescott fight. Still would of beaten Malignaggi, Salita, Kotelnik, because as Miles said we need to see him in, with a real dangerous opponent to see how much he really has improved.
he's not a prick, hes a young kid who has been thrust into the lime light and he is handling it pretty well
much better than I would have at 17, and unless you are something out of the ordinary it is highly likely he is handling it better than you would
and being a boxing fan I would have thought you would have realised that banter before fights doesnt need to be taken too seriously
Agree to disagree. He did have 1 minute to recover inbetween the rounds and he did get the benefit of a long count. I won't be alone in thinking he was badly hurt. Either way, he's definitely improved a lot since then, and you're correct in saying he did very well in the 8th round.

look dude, I think there is a lot of uneccessary hate for boxers on this site, epsecially as its british guys hating british guys for no or little reason. I am making it my soul purpose whilst posting to turn opinion and make the british public more appreciative of those sportsmen who have had success and represent our country with pride
he int a prick dude, thats very harsh
enjoy him, britain wont have many world champions like khan
can't help it if i don't like someone.
read my other post with list of brits I have hated in other sports - its just one of them things. Sometimes the majority of the british public can't stand one of our own. And the guys I list all come into that - as does Khan.
And I doubt thers much he can do to turn it round.
Though Rocky Balboa managed it in Moscow I guess so maybe anything's possible
Don't bully fat kids - they've got enough on their plate
i don't think the world quite works as easy as that .......
come on Maidana !
Don't bully fat kids - they've got enough on their plate
He can be a legend. All he has to do is clean up his division, and concur 2 more divs north of that. He's got height, long limbs, power, speed, and skills. He's got great corner and sparmates. There should be a way to toughen his chin. Maybe wack his chin repeatedly with a rubber batton or somethin'. Have it immunized. Sort of like Pac's stick training for his body.

I actually think Khan is going to be Great. He has improved a shit load under Roach. I remember when quite a few people thought he would get a real test from Thaxton, now with all the respect I have for Thaxton there is still no way you could give him ashot with Khan at any point.
The main problem for Khan is he definitely has a weak chin but he knows that now and has improved around that fact. The very top fighters will expose his chin but I'm talking the level of Pac and Mayweather and I think Khan will totally school Maidana!
