To get back on topic, about whether or not who would be inducted 1st, Chavez or Tyson or who would lead the pack. I think I would have to go with Tyson. Why? Because he was the youngest HW champ, helped make boxing come back to being very popular in the 80s especially the US. Chavez is a great fighter, HOF no doubt, but Tyson's impact on the sport was far much greater, especially when he was king of the HWs. At 1 time he was the most popular athlete in the world. Tyson's short reign proved 1 thing, that an exciting and prime HW champ is still king of all sports imo.

good points, IMO though they wont induct both guys in the same year

do you have any idea of how much money they get from the HOF induction weekend?

they will get huge crowds for each guy separately

Would be ironic them going in same time as Chavez played backseat to Tyson as far as King was concerned, telecasts and spotlight most of the time. Persoanilty, charisma and explosive fanfare Tyson 1st in no doubt....but I think (sober here) JCC far more accomplished and better fighter Just me. He even has his own troll...must be a superstar indeed.

He is a shoe in but it i think Tyson my get it over Chavez . Also on him beating Prs champions he is just lucky that Benitez was not around, wouldn't of landed a punch.

benitez was a great, great defensive fighter but he wasn't in chavez' weight class. he was a little bigger than chavez at welterweight. but i'll agree, it would have been a bad matchup for chavez but in rating them in the p4p category, chavez was still rated a little higher. no disrespect to benitez though because he was a great fighter and one of my favorites at the time.

well i'd say Benitez' accomplishment of being the youngest world champion ever (a feat no one will ever beat cause it's now illegal to go pro before the age of 1, add in titles at 147 and 154 i'd say that they were pretty even, only thing Benitez didn't last as long on top cause of drug problems
