That's the way it is, not the way it ends
But choosing to make every thread you start an anti Israel one at least suggests you don't like them much no?
It's clear as day for everyone to see that nothing winds Miles up more than the people of Israel. He's created about 50 threads, and now even left the forum over them!
I just saw his latest thread, about the flotilla. I'm still looking for his thread on the North Koreans who torpedo'ed and killed 5 times as many of his own countryman at the same time.
Miles is more concerned about a few armed 'peace activists' who were shot in self defence whilst attempting to beat several IDF soldiers to death than he is about his own Korean neighbours who were killed by the North Korean despot.
I'm not saying he can't post his threads, and they don't bother me, but you can't keep posting only on one subject and then protest when it's suggested you don't like them much.
I can't think of any other instance where one poster has singled out a particular group or person for so long and not been seen as a hater.
But it's all good. As I always point out to Miles, the Jews win in the end.![]()
The flotilla thread was one that sparked debate, particularly between you and me. You were adament that Israel was in the right and just knocking off a few terrorists, I disagreed with you.
The findings of the U.N. have sided with my side of the argument suggesting that Israel commited assasinations, including that of one US citizen. It was a show of force, carefully planned and designed to let future flotilla know what the consequences would be if they tried to go against the IDF.
North Korea is a terrible issue. However, it isn't even cut and dry whether North Korea even attacked the ship. A sizeable segment of the South Korea population even thinks Lee Myong Park was behind it in an attempt to bolster his popularity in time for elections. I'm not sure I totally buy this either though. There simply aren't enough credible facts to understand really what happened. This is in marked contrast to the flotilla.
The main difference between North Korea and Israel is that it doesn't have illegal expansionist ambitions and actually has UN sanctions placed upon it. This doesn't excuse the evil of its regime which is evil and IMO far worse than Saddam ever was. However the west simply wouldn't have any resources to exploit. My point is basically that Iraq got sanctions then regime change. North Korea gets sanctions with no sign of regime change, despite people being HEAVILY repressed. Israel is free to flout international rule with the constant backing of US support whilst the Palestinians continue to be Heavily repressed. See the differences?
For sure, it is an issue that I find fascinating. How does a country manage to commit so many crimes and yet always get bailed out by the worlds superpower. It doesn't matter how bad the crime is. The recent peace negotiations saw America request that settlements stop being built for a further 2 months. In return the US would give military aid, complete unquestioned support at the UN for another year etc. Now why should Israel be granted International impunity just for stopping the building of what are clearly illegal settlements? This is what I find interesting. It is a strange, warped relationship.
This is an area that I have only really started to get interested in in the last 3 years or so and for sure, I am very interested in it's continual evolution. If other interesting stories come up then I will be sure to say something and if it's Israel being the big, bad bully then I will likely point it out (as that is usually the case and there is nothing anti-semitic in pointing that out).
I always miss the good shitSo what do we do about sc's or neg rep or just expressing out dislike for someone haha? This is sort of like the public schools taking the "F" out of the grade system as to not make the little kids feel like losers...or failures
We need the red number back.....a scarlet letter of suckery and a battle scar. Miles are you back from leaving yet...didnt you make one of these goodbye things last month

You give them neg rep. I am not actually against sad clicks as in how they existed before, but I do disagree with unlimited amounts of sad clicks from one person per day. That is not just a battle scar, that is a flagrant abuse of the system.
Last month was just to announce I was going on holiday whence I would be quiet, this time I just got pissed off.
He's an angry man. And he should be. I mean look at the outrageous and constant offences of the expansionist Jews with their landmass already almost the size of Wales. Yet they still try protect and expand their borders to guard strategic locations. I mean sure they are surrounded on all sides by Arab nations who hate them and whose official foreign policy is their total destruction but it doesn't excuse their behaviour.
Of course America and Britain occupy these foreign lands in order to protect their own citizens from these menaces, but they clearly pose no threat to Israel.
By the way Miles, did you read about that trojan worm that the Jews allegedly uploaded onto Iran's nuclear facilities computers last week?
Great stuff, espionage and counter terrorism at it's best![]()
As VD said, a grown man that is 30+ years old, is married and a school teacher, threatened to leave a forum because he got sad click a bunch of times from a 14 or 15 year old Canadian kid.

It is irrelevant how big their alloted land mass was. That is no excuse for the Israeli elite to implement illegal expansionist/colonial policies. They didn't need to build settlements, but they chose to do it because they knew the international community wouldn't be able to do anything. The UN is feeble today and bears similarity to the league of nations prior to WW2. If a member is able to go rogue with immoral veto's then nothing gets done. Whence sanctions on those states which are deemed bad by America and nothing gets done to those America will turn a blind eye to. You can't tell me that every country in the world bar America, Australia and a few relatively obscure countries are willfully hoping for the destruction of the Israeli state? Could it not simply be that Israel in recent years has been increasingly commiting war crimes in the region? Like I keep saying, I am fine with Israel's existence, but I am not fine with the blatant mistreatment of the Palestians who essentially have few freedoms or rights. In contrast, I am not fine with North Korea's continued existence. Does that mean I actually hate Koreans? Of course it doesn't. But I do loath states who abuse their power in immoral and unjust ways. And that's why America gets criticised too. Okay, the people in America are relatively free and can say what they want (despite being heavily indoctrinated) and that is cool. But what isn't cool are the invasions and supported coups against democratically elected governments around the world. I don't hate Americans. I tend to like them. The common theme here is power and the associated abuse and corruption of that power.
You make the point that Israel's neighbors hate them, but that is too one sided. Don't the people of Gaza have good reason to be rather upset by what the Israeli's did in 2008? Don't the people of Lebanon have a reason to distrust the Israeli's considering the assault on Hezbollah in 2006? Okay, Ahminejad likes to spout rhetoric about Israel, but at the same time it is Israel with a strong military, nuclear weapons and who was right at the forefront when comparing Saddam with Hitler. And who is once again drumming up the case for war? You guessed it....Israel! Of course, the region can't stand the type of state that Israel has become. You are painting it as one sides hate, but like I say, it is far more complex.
Yes, I've read about that virus, but I'm not really sure what to make of it. It's not a story I have really looked at in depth. I haven't read that Israel was involved though and thought it was found in other countries first. How do we know the Israeli's used this to attack Iran? See I'm not ready to jump on Israel at every move, as in this instance I just don't know.
Fair enough Miles. Personally I hope ya stick around. You have passion, cant knock that. Have to say and no one asked you can go over board with the broad brush at times but something has to be said about taking speaking ones mind. When you insist on standing upon a high perch you have to know some will love to kick you in the shins repeatedly. Dont let them see ya sweat.....ecspecially if they are from Canada![]()
I've made myself look a bit of a girl with this incident, but in a way I am glad it happened. I have taken it all on board and learned from it. I see no reason to dilute what I say because at the end of the day, what I say is what I truly feel. So, I will post as I always have. However, I will show a thicker skin against anyone who tries to criticise me or deflect my arguments with nonsense about ant semitism.
I watched a documentary about Norman Finkelstein the other day called "The trials of Norman Finkelstein" and on the whole I found it very interesting. I had my little tantrum the other day, but watching this documentary really put it all into context. This is an expert on the region who has really been put through the grill because of his criticisms of the Israeli state. The documentary shows his detractors outright calling him an anti semite, that he is full of identity issues and racked with self loathing etc. All this for taking apart the books of those who tell lies about Israel and for showing an Israel that the media all too often chooses to stay quiet on. Alan Dershowitz, a notorious Zionist fraudster, even set up a malicious campaign to stop Finkelstein gaining tenure at a university and led to him having to resign. Finkelstein even got banned from Israel for 10 years for his views.
Anyway, it made me realise that my little trials and tribulations here are nothing when put against that kind of nastiness. I will remain as I always do, but no more threats to leave. My biggest issue with the string of sad clicks is that I thought it was someone who chose to do that rather than openly debate with me. That to me was the ultimate act of cowardice. I would never do that to anyone else, run from a debate and leave a string of sadlclicks. A real man should have the courage of his convictions and debate it out. To sad click someone 30 times isn't only a joke, to me it is a serious sign of disrespect and the anonymity bugged me. It could have been anyone in ninja mode and I actually thought it was Bilbo and that thought annoyed me too. But it wasn't him.

It doesn't necessary shows that he hates the Jews as they are Jews but that he has a strong disdain for their international politics and that it is something he has at heart. When you look at all the problems that the Israel Gov is generating, I can only agree with Miles that their behaviors are quite frankly unacceptable. However, I do agree with you though that he did perhaps exaggerate on the number of topics on the same variation, guess Mile's a bit passionate when he's seriously happy/angry![]()
