Donaire has been a major disappointment. He has all world top p4p skills, but there always seems like his name is mentioned with whoever is hot below the 126 division. There's a saying, "Shit or get off the pot."

Montiel already beat Hasegawa. Who's a much better fighter than Donaire. Nonito might take the first couple of rounds/ But that's be design. Montiel will bide his time and than proceed to punish Donaire. I don't think he'll stop him. But that's cuz I think Donaire will quit before he gets KO'ed. That is if he even takes the fight
i hope he does, i don't want montiel to be like the rest who avoided donaire.

Montiel isn't the one who's been AVOIDING tough competition like Donaire has

That settles the "avoidance" issue on his part. I hope Montiel will do similar thing.

all this talk of montiel avoiding donaire is pure bullshit! montiel has NEVER avoided anyone. even went to japan to kick hasegawa's ass! think donaire would have done that? hell no! listen, donaire has all the ability in the world but the dude is a fucking prima donna. can anybody tell me what significant win he has since he beat darchinyan? i'm beginning to think he just might be a one hit wonder. did it ever occur to donaire's fans that the reason he doesn't get these tough fights is because maybe he doesn't sign on the dotted lines and then goes around saying this and that to save himself face. i mean, the way this cat sees it, EVERYONE is afraid of his ass. he's starting to wear thin on me and other boxing fans who want to see just how good he is. against montiel, he'll find out soon enough!

Donaire called out top Jap fighters including Hasegawa about a year ago. They don't wanna fight him. It's not that they're scared of him. Reason being is Japan is unwilling to recognize IBF, WBO and IBO as legitimate world titles.

That my friend is a FACT.

This is totally correct. I like Donaire, but Donaire needs a quality win more than anyone in boxing. Donaire makes Berto look like he takes on all challengers. He is ranked high on the idea that he is highly skilled, but he only has one good win. Sidorenko is good a start. Montiel is even better.

This is a great Mexican v. Philipino debate. Y'all definitely stand by your fighters. I'll split the baby: Mares beats Vic by decision, avenges his draw agains Yonnhy (Yonnhy beats Agbeko), and then beats the winner of Donaire/Montiel. How's them apples?

    PSL,

sure, anyone can throw names out of their big mouths but until his promoters get in contact with other promoters, opening your mouth means nothing. i will guarantee you one thing, and i can back it up with donaire's recent history, donaire would never had taken on a very elite tough guy like hasegawa in japan. g-u-a-r-a-n-t-e-e you that! instead, donaire has taken the easy highway or (low highway) by fighting little minimumweights and jr. flyweights who look like little kids compared to him. that my friend does not strike me as someone who would call out, at the time, the baddest bantamweight (hasegawa). you know, you pacquiao and donaire fans love to throw out words like ducking, scared, etc...but until you start educating yourselves on other boxers, who are not named pacquiao and donaire, maybe, just maybe you can become credible fans of this great sport.

    PSL,

besides, i wouldn't go around inducting donaire into boxings HOF just quite yet! the kid hasn't proven anything except being a one hit wonder thus far. and especially in the rafael concepcion fight, which donaire was at times literally running for his life from the guy, montiel absolutely, positively destroyed concepcion in less than 3 very one sided rounds. but i will give donaire mad credit if he can find a pair of man plums big enough to get into the ring with montiel.

It's easy to say "I guarantee". But how can you back up your guarantee when you didn't have any slightest idea why Hasegawa or any Jap fighters didn't wanna fight Donaire? Darchinyan was more popular feared fighter than Hasegawa was when Donaire fought him. Just like I said in other thread... I don't think anybody is scared of no one. Ducking is not (no longer) an issue.

Oh yeah. You're a boxing genius. You didn't even know who are the "four horsemen". Lol. You've almost convinced me that Hearns is in HOF already. Pfft!.. I checked it out.. I was right, you were wrong.

You're still a forum troll buddy.

    PSL,

what? you didn't know thomas hearns was in the HOF? talk about ignorant! FYI, einstein, all members of the "four horsemen" are in the HOF. and yes, ignoramous, i DID know duran, leonard, hearns and hagler were called the four horsemen. i thought your kababayan called the four pinoy fighters (penalosa bros., navarrete and espinosa) the four horsemen as well. got that, pendejo?

and another thing, you're telling me that darchinyan is a better fighter than hasegawa? are you high or what? donaire IS a one hit wonder until he proves he can and will fight better opposition. until then, he'll be known as a wasted talent only willing to fight minimumweights! from now on i'm going to refer to nonito as Nonito "minimumweight king of the world" Donaire, because thus far, he's nothing but a FRAUD! can you spell that, pendejo?

To get back on topic, I would favor Montiel, albeit slightly in this fight, he's the more proven commodity at this weight, so i'll put it at around 55-45 for Montiel, however Donaire does have all world skills, no one can deny that, the mystery is will it translate to the 118 dvision, remember although it's only 3 pounds, that is considered to be a big deal for the lower weight divisions.

And Donaire needs this fight more so than Montiel, after his sensational ko of Darchinyan, Donaire has been a massive disappointment for not getting fights done. That falls on the fighter more so than the promoter imo.
