Anyone have experience of snowboarding and the like? There are several balance boards on the market which are marketed at those wishing to develop their balance skills. The Coolboard, for example, has clips on youtube.

Student you can get a wooden one, go into a wood yard and ask. Get one about 2 foot, theres some great stretching routines you can do with it.

nice.. thanks, I got a wood yard not to far from me, I think I'll go check it out...

what would I actually call it? Wood Roller? Wood Cylinder?

or is there some sort of a proper term for it?

I call them logs, find an even one then take the bark off. Then go and get a car innertube and cover the log with that. Its a great bit of kit for ironing the muscles out .

    aha! I see.

I just figured that a log wouldn't be a perfect cylinder. But if its just a simple log without the bark, that should be straight forward enough

Scrap, I just went out and bought two 6 lb rubber medicine balls. The only problem is that they are very squishy, almost like a stress ball or something. So when I stand on it, its just caves in. It holds my weight fine, but definitely doesn't hold shape at all.

Whats ur suggestion? return and purchase a different pair of balls that'll actually somewhat hold form?
